Some state forest roads and trails have closed due to heavy rains this fall.
With firearms deer hunting opener just around the corner, the DNR reminds hunters to check forest trail and road conditions before they head out.
Steady rain is making road and trail maintenance difficult to complete, particularly here in northern Minnesota, where an average of eight inches of rain has fallen in the past month.
