The following is a summary of incidents the Bemidji Police Department responded to from Thursday, June 30, through Monday, July 4.

BEMIDJI POLICE DEPARTMENT

MONDAY, JULY 4

Missing Person, 11:40 p.m.

Report of a missing child on the 500 block of Mississippi Ave. NW. Child found safe with guardian.

Disorderly Conduct, 11:08 p.m.

Caller reported illegal fireworks complaint on the 200 block of Lake Shore Dr. NE. Officer checked the area but found only legal fireworks were being used.

Disorderly Conduct, 9:15 p.m.

Two female ex-roommates yelling at each other on the 1100 block of Bemidji Ave. N. Parties agreed to go their separate ways upon officer’s arrival. Nothing criminal reported or observed.

Assault, 8:53 p.m.

Officers responded to a report of an assault on Irvine Ave. NW. Adult female arrested.

Disorderly Conduct, 8:40 p.m.

Officer mediated a civil dispute between soon-to-be ex-roommates on the 1100 block of Bemidji Ave. N.

Disorderly Conduct, 7:36 p.m.

Unruly juvenile physically fighting with mom. Transported to Northwest Juvenile Center and cited for disorderly conduct.

DWI, 6:41 p.m.

Welfare check on the 2000 block of Paul Bunyan Dr. NW. Female arrested for several charges.

Welfare Check, 5:14 p.m.

Officer responded to a report of a child falling out of a window on 9th St. NW.

Animal, 1:13 p.m.

Officer responded to the 1600 block of 5th St. NE on report of five abandoned four-week-old kittens. A citizen agreed to take custody of the kittens due to the kittens needing milk and additional care that could not be provided at the pound.

SUNDAY, JULY 3

Fire, 11:37 p.m.

Garage fire set off by fireworks on the 5200 block of Willshar Way NW.

Suspicious, 12:47 p.m.

Officer responded to a male party messing with parade floats on 18th St. and America Ave. NW. Nothing criminal was present and the male left without issues.

Welfare Check, 4:03 a.m.

Welfare check on a male passed out in a women’s bathroom on the 400 block of Paul Bunyan Dr. SE. Subject picked up by Bemidji Ambulance and brought to ER.

911, 1:35 a.m.

911 report of a handgun being aimed at someone on 5th St. and Gould Ave. NE. Unable to contact or locate the caller.

Assault, 1:29 a.m.

Second-hand rep[ort of a possible domestic assault on 1st St. E. Probable cause to arrest was issued for felony DANCO violation and felony domestic assault/fear.

SATURDAY, JULY 2

Suspicious, 10:45 p.m.

Officer took the report of suspicious activity on the 1400 block of Delton Ave. NW. The complainant later learned a friend of his was pranking him. No further actions taken or requested.

Fire, 9:54 p.m.

Assist Bemidji Fire at 100 block of Lake Shore Dr. NE.

Welfare Check, 9:44 p.m.

Officers responded to a welfare check on a toddler found alone in a neighbor’s yard on the 500 block of 8th St. SE. Guardians were located.

Agency Assist, 6:28 p.m.

One arrested on Anne St. and Irvine Ave. NW.

Vehicle Calls/Complaints, 2:20 p.m.

Officer took a driving complaint on Roosevelt Rd. and Tyler Ave. SE. Upon locating the driver, the elderly male was garage saling. Nothing further was needed.

Disorderly Conduct, 12:46 p.m.

Arrested one adult male for disorderly conduct and terroristic threats on the 100 block of Minnesota Ave. NW. Male obstructed with force while being placed under arrest.

Assautl, 8:06 a.m.

Male arrested for domestic assault and a warrant for the same charge on the 2600 block of Delton Ave. NW.

Property Damage, 5:03 a.m.

Damage to a vehicle sometime during the night on the 3900 block of Irvine Ave. NW. Sugar in gas tank and slashed tire.

FRIDAY, JULY 1

Disorderly Conduct, 11:26 p.m.

Several juveniles fighting at the Water Carnival on the 1100 block of Event Center Dr. NE.

Welfare Check, 8:35 p.m.

Welfare check on juvenile near roadway on Anne St. and Supreme Ct. NW. Juvenile’s guardian and the juvenile were reunited.

Welfare Check, 8:22 p.m.

Welfare check on unattended child found in hallway of apartment building on the 600 block of America Ave. NW. Child reunited with adult family member.

Traffic Stop, 7:56 p.m.

Traffic stop on Circuit St. SW and Paul Bunyan Dr. S. Driver and passenger arrested.

Suspicious, 3:35 p.m.

Officer contacted a male about a suspicious person on the 700 block of 20th St. NW. Upon contact, it was his roommate. Nothing further was requested.

Weapons Offenses, 3:15 p.m.

Officers responded to a weapons call on Paul Bunyan Dr. and Trustar Ave. NW. Upon arrival, one male was arrested for outstanding warrants.

Disorderly Conduct, 2:42 p.m.

Officer took a report of kids throwing water at vehicles on Beltrami Ave. and 3rd St. NW.

Civil, 12:53 p.m.

An individual reported a missing vehicle on the 500 block of 18th St. NW. It was soon determined that it had been borrowed by a sibling and no assistance was needed.

Robbery, 1:15 a.m.

Officer took a report of an armed robbery on the 700 block of 15th St. NW.

DWI, 12:28 a.m.

Traffic stop on the 2800 block of  Pine Ridge Ave. NW. Three people arrested.

THURSDAY, JUNE 30

Traffic Stop, 11:48 p.m.

Traffic stop on Conifer Ave. and 15th St. NW. Adult male placed under arrest on an outstanding warrant.

Suspicious, 11:35 p.m.

Officer responded to teh report of an individual possibly on the caller’s roof. Upon arrival to the 2500 block of Phoenix Loop NW, no one was located.

Juvenile/Status Crimes, 11:29 p.m.

Juvenile took off from home after getting accused of hitting his sibling.

Warrant, 11:16 p.m.

Report of vehicle in the roadway on the 400 block of Paul Bunyan Dr. SE. Male individual placed under arrest for local warrant.

Suspicious, 9:19 p.m.

Report of people walking with a lot of bikes on 7th St. and Minnesota Ave. NW.

Animal, 9:16 a.m.

Report of animal bite on the 200 block of 25th St. NW. Owner was bit by own dog. No assistance needed.

Medical, 8:16 a.m.

Officers responded to an apparent overdose on the 1000 block of Park Ave. NW.

DWI, 1:07 a.m.

Adult female placed under arrest for DWI.

DWI, 12:52 a.m.

Traffic stop on Beltrami Ave. NW. Driver arrested for DWI.

Medical, 12:02 a.m.

One-year-old infant transported to the hospital by ambulance from Minnesota Ave. NW.

THURSDAY, JUNE 30

DWI, 11:50 p.m.

Deputy checked on a vehicle parked at a business after-hours on the 8000 block of Irvine Ave. NW. Driver arrested for drug-DWI and possession of a controlled substance.

Assault, 7:52 p.m.

Report of a domestic assault on the 13800 block of Wonder Green Ln. SE. One adult female arrested.

DWI, 12:22 a.m.

Traffic stop on 23rd St. and Little Norway Ave. SE. Adult arrested for DWI and DAC-IPS.
