A Maplewood man was killed in an alcohol-related crash yesterday evening in Cass County.
According to a release, 43-year-old Steven Shelton was driving a GMC Sierra when he crossed into the southbound lane on a curve on Highway 84 in Wabedo Township, sideswiping an F150.
The Sierra went off the road to the right and the unnamed driver overcorrected, crossing back over the road to the left and struck a tree.
Shelton was not wearing a seatbelt, and the state patrol says he was under the influence of alcohol.
The driver of the F150 was uninjured.
