Candidate filing has opened for the Bemidji School Board races.
Five seats are up for election this year, with three four-year terms up as well as filling two vacancies with two two-year terms. These candidates will appear on ballots for the General Election this November.
Candidates must file affidavits, be eligible voters, live within the boundaries of the Bemidji School District, be over the age of 21 and submit a $2 filing fee.
The filing period closes on Tuesday, Aug. 16 at 5 p.m at the District Board Office.
