Two northern Minnesota projects to be completed soon

The Minnesota Department of Transportation says they worked on over 220 road projects during this past construction season.

The cones across this region were up as crews worked on a large project on Highway 71 in Park Rapids, which included grading and resurfacing, storm sewer replacement, and work on frontage roads around Highway 71, sanitary sewer and water mains. A roundabout was also constructed at the intersection of Hubbard County Roads 15 and 53.

The project will be finished soon, with an end date scheduled in early November.

Another project due to be complete soon is one in Northome, as crews have been working on Highway 1, with a new traffic signal as well as other curb, gutter, and resurfacing work.
