Florida woman killed in side by side crash

A Fort Meyers, Flordia woman was killed in an off-highway vehicle crash near Outing on Labor Day.

Cass County Sheriff Tom Burch says his office responded around 3:11 p.m. to the “B” Trail in Beulah Township.

A group of OHV riders were traveling on the trail and came upon a 2015 Polaris Ranger side by side that had rolled over and trapped the driver inside.

The group was able to free the rider and initiated lifesaving efforts.

These efforts were continued when EMS personnel arrived on the scene, but the 56-year-old female victim was pronounced dead.

She was the lone occupant and was traveling alone.
