Twelve-year-old injured in pedestrian v semi crash in Bagley

A 12-year-old Bagley boy was injured as a pedestrian in a crash with a semi-truck Monday.

According to the Minnesota State Patrol, the 2019 Straight Truck driven by 27-year-old Brady Schmidt of Bemidji was northbound on Main Avenue in Bagley when he swerved to avoid the pedestrian who had entered the roadway but still made contact around 7:51 Monday morning.

Twelve-year-old Nicholas Anderson’s injuries are described as non-life-threatening.

He was transported to Sanford Fargo for treatment.

The Clearwater County Sheriff’s Office and Sanford Bagley Ambulance assisted at the scene.
