The Bemidji Police Department has updated its release on the Night We Light DWI arrest as extra impaired driver enforcement remains on Minnesota roads through the holiday season.
Witnesses reported the driver, later identified as 26-year-old Fisher Jambor of Bemidji, attempted to drive around the barricades at 5th Street, then backed away, nearly striking pedestrians and hitting two parked vehicles.
Bystanders detained Jambor until law enforcement arrived around 6:15 p.m. Friday.
Jambor was then arrested after a field sobriety test and a preliminary breath test that showed a blood alcohol concentration of 0.25, more than three times the legal limit.

Jambor was charged with second-degree DWI with aggravating factors on Nov. 28 and will make his next court appearance on Dec. 7.
Bail was set at $12,000 without conditions and Jambor appears to have bonded out of custody on Nov. 28.

Witnesses reported to law enforcement that the driver nearly collided with pedestrians around 6:30 p.m.
