Aitkin man injured in Remer-area crash

An Aitkin man was injured in a crash in the Remer area Monday afternoon.

The state patrol says the 69-year-old driver fell asleep behind the wheel of a Dodge Ram and left the roadway.

The Ram went into the west ditch and struck two approaches around 2 p.m. on Highway 6 in Cass County’s Thunder Lake Township.

The driver was treated at the Crosby Hospital for non-life-threatening injuries.

The Minnesota DNR, Cass County Sheriff’s Office and Remer Ambulance assisted at the scene.
