Arson suspected cause in Sunday night fire

Arson is the suspected cause of a fire Sunday night in Bemidji.

According to the Bemidji Fire Department, firefighters responded to the scene and found a fiberglass boat completely engulfed in flames, with a detached garage also on fire.

Eight firefighters were on the scene for about one hour.

The fire was on the 100 block of Mississippi Avenue Southwest around 10 p.m. Sunday.

Evidence collected at the scene suggests the fire was intentionally set.
