U.S. Senator Tina Smith (D-Minn.) announced that a bill she co-sponsored cleared the Senate Tuesday.
The Postal Service Reform Act, according to Smith, stabilizes the long-troubled United States Postal Service budget and ensures that the current delivery standards remain the same.
Smith said that the USPS used to pre-pay health insurance benefits for their retirees in what she suspects was an attempt to privatize one of America’s oldest businesses.
