Bemidji Airport to receive $95K

A number of airports across Minnesota have received around $25 million dollars in federal funding to upgrade their terminals as part of a $1 billion effort to improve airports nationwide.

Airports in Bemidji, Glencoe, Preston, and Minneapolis-St Paul International will receive funding under President Biden’s bipartisan infrastructure law.

The program is designed to expand capacity at airports, increase energy efficiency, promote competition, and provide greater accessibility for individuals with disabilities.

The lion’s share of funding in Minnesota– 21-point-three million — is going to MSP to upgrade its main terminal.

Bemidji’s airport will receive $95,000; which will be used to expand the security screening area.
