Bemidji Alliance moving past Mathews allegations

BEMIDJI–The Chair of the Bemidji Alliance, Gary Johnson, recently penned a letter to the Bemidji community about their disagreements about the conduct of City Manager Nate Mathews.

The Alliance filed a formal complaint last July, and on Sept. 9, the majority of the council reportedly voted 4 to 3 to not look into the complaint.

The Alliance says they will move forward with their next initiative, Envision Bemidji 2030, and hopes City leadership will be an active and positive partner in the process.

The Bemidji Alliance is also working on developing a website so the community can stay up-to-date with the Alliance’s initiatives.
