The following is a summary of incidents the Bemidji Police Department and the Beltrami County Sheriff’s Office responded to from Friday, April 21, through Tuesday, April 25.

BEMIDJI POLICE DEPARTMENT

TUESDAY, APRIL 25

Property Damage, 11:02 p.m.

Window broken on house on the 1000 block of Bemidji Ave. N.

Suspicious, 8:45 p.m.

Call for shots heard in a residential area on the 3900 block of Irvine Ave. NW. Unable to locate.

Welfare Check, 8:27 p.m.

Second-hand report of an assault on the 1200 block of Paul Bunyan Dr. NW. Spoke with both parties individually. Both parties explained they were just playing. Unfounded.

Pursuit, 7:26 p.m.

Motorcycle pursuit on 8th St. and Bemidji Ave. N. Driver arrested.

Financial Crimes, 9:51 a.m.

Officers received a report of $5,000 being stolen from a subject’s bank account. Subject’s family member arrested for theft.

MONDAY, APRIL 24

Other, 7:10 p.m.

Male wanted to advise law enforcement he wrote a letter to a judge that may contain controversial information. No law enforcement action needed.

Assist, 6:54 p.m.

Caller requested a K9 search for her recently purchased vehicle to make sure there were no drugs concealed inside. No K9 available.

Assist, 6:52 p.m.

Caller requesting an officer check to see if her son is a patient at the hospital. Caller was advised she could contact the hospital herself.

Suspicious, 1:36 p.m.

Officers responded to a report of a suspicious person looking under cars in the mall parking lot. Subjects informed officers they were looking for a lost wallet. No assistance needed.

SUNDAY, APRIL 23

Theft, 11:40 p.m.

Theft from business on the 100 block of Lake Shore Dr. NE. Arrested female for warrant.

Weapons Offenses, 1:27 p.m.

Report of an altercation on the 500 block of Paul Bunyan Dr. NW. Three arrested, four cited.

SATURDAY, APRIL 22

Burglary, 10:49 p.m.

Two suspects arrested on the 800 block of America Ave. NW for a burglary.

Fire, 6:42 p.m.

Assisted fire department with report of recliner chair fire on the 500 block of Kay Ave. SE.

FRIDAY, APRIL 21

DWI, 10:58 p.m.

Suspicious vehicle report. Vehicle located on 36th St. and Park Ave. NW. Driver arrested for DWI by BCSO deputies.

DWI, 5:57 p.m.

Traffic stop on 23rd St. and Park Ave. NW. One arrested and released to a sober party.

Harassment, 5:49 p.m.

Report of sister using witchcraft to make her ill and steal subject’s fortune. No law enforcement action taken.

Suspicious, 4:40 a.m.

Suspicious male appeared to be breaking into a vehicle on the 2600 block of Delton Ave. NW. Owner was locked out of their vehicle.

Suspicious, 4:10 a.m.

Suspicious male in someone’s porch on the 1700 block of 3rd St. NE. Male placed under arrest.

Accident, 10:06 p.m.

Apple report of an accident on the 4400 block of Monroe Ave. SW. False report.

Assist, 5:51 p.m.

Male notifying law enforcement of him partaking in target practice on the 15800 block of Rising Sun Ln. SE in Cass Lake.

DWI, 5:13 p.m.

Adult arrested for DWI and drivers license status violation on Highway 89 and Olson Rd. NW.

Suspicious, 1:51 p.m.

Report of a suspicious fire in Funkley. No suspects or evidence of nefarious activities.

Assist, 6:01 a.m.

Deputies assisted Cass County in apprehending drive by shooting suspects in Cass Lake. K9 deployed. Two adults and a juvenile arrested.

Disorderly Conduct, 4:57 a.m.

Report of juveniles throwing snow at houses on the 5600 block of Alps Ct. NW. Deputies checked the area, unfounded.

DWI, 2:05 a.m.

Adult arrested for DWI on the 1100 block of Paul Bunyan Dr. S.

911, 2:03 a.m.

911 hangup on Ruby Ln. NE. Happened on accident while trying to add people on TikTok.

SATURDAY, APRIL 22

Suspicious, 11:32 p.m.

Report of a male sleeping and acting erratic in a vehicle on the 2100 block of 5th St. NE. Male arrested for burglary and drug possession.

Assist, 11:05 p.m.

Local warrant arrested in Hubbard County and transported to Beltrami.

Welfare Check, 10:52 p.m.

Welfare check on hitchhiker on Tyler Ave. and Roosevelt Rd. SE. Arrested for warrants.

Property Damage, 12:51 p.m.

Deputy responded to individual entering residence without permission on the 5000 block of Theater Ln. NW. Adult male arrested for out-of-county warrant.

Vehicle Calls/Complaints, 9:35 a.m.

Deputy assisted State Patrol with a driving complaint on Highway 89 NW. One arrested.

FRIDAY, APRIL 21

DWI, 10:58 p.m.

Adult arrested for DWI on 36th St. and Park Ave. NW.

Assault, 10:15 p.m.

Report of an assault in Cass Lake. One female arrested on court conditions, another female arrested for drug possession, and a child was placed on a hold.

Assist, 10:04 p.m.

Assist State Patrol on 1st St. and Shevlin Ave. SW. One arrested.

DWI, 7:30 p.m.

Adult arrested for DWI and DL status violation on Highway 2 and Theater Ln. NW.

Disorderly Conduct, 12:14 p.m.

One adult male transported to Sanford Medical Center Emergency by the Bemidji Ambulance Service after ingesting hand sanitizer.

THURSDAY, APRIL 20

Agency Assist, 9:04 p.m.

Assist BPD with a male party resisting arrest on the 500 block of 21st St. NW.

Sex Crimes, 6:40 p.m.

Report of sexual assault in Bemidji.

Assist, 9:55 a.m.

Male parked on road shoulder on Highway 71 and Pass Rd. NE in Hines. Trapping beaver for the state.
