The following is a summary of incidents the Bemidji Police Department and the Beltrami County Sheriff’s Office responded to from Tuesday, April 4, through Wednesday, April 5.

BEMIDJI POLICE DEPARTMENT

WEDNESDAY, APRIL 5

Suspicious, 8:36 p.m.

Officers responded to the report of a suspicious male on the 1000 block of Irvine Ave. NW. Subject placed under arrest.

Vehicle Calls/Complaints, 8:31 p.m.

Traffic control for a winch-out on Hannah Ave. and Anne St. NW.

Assault, 5:02 p.m.

Officer responded to an assault on Bemidji Ave. N. Charges will be referred.

Weapons Offenses, 2:03 p.m.

Report of possible weapons offense on the 1400 block of Paul Bunyan Dr. NW. No offense was located.

Assist, 8:45 a.m.

Officer placed a male party under arrest for an A&D hold for probation agent on the 2400 block of Ridgeway Ave. NW.

TUESDAY, APRIL 4

Disorderly Conduct, 11:51 p.m.

Call to remove a male in someone’s residence on the 600 block of 4th St. NW. Arrested intoxicated male.

Suspicious, 11:48 p.m.

Report of hearing noises that might be a vehicle accident on the 1000 block of Bemidji Ave. N. Area searched and no signs of accident were found.

Accident, 6:22 p.m.

Assisted State Patrol with a vehicle crash on Anne St. and Highway 71 NW.

Warrant, 5:56 p.m.

Male arrested on probable cause on the 3300 block of Bemidji Ave. N.

Welfare Check, 5:51 p.m.

Welfare check requested for a male who had gotten out of jail with nowhere to go. Male was found at a local bar and not in need of any help.

Harassment, 5:44 p.m.

Caller reported her ex was possibly hiding in her garage on Calihan Ave. NE. Officer searched the garage and found it was empty.

Disorderly Conduct, 5:00 p.m.

Third-party report of an unwanted male knocking at her aunt’s windows on Pine Crest Ct. NW. Subject had left prior to officer’s arrival and was not located.

Theft, 12:29 p.m.

Theft from Walmart. Suspect arrested for providing a false name.

Theft, 9:17 a.m.

Arrested one adult female for theft of a motor vehicle and possession of counterfeit currency on the 1400 block of Paul Bunyan Dr. NW.

BELTRAMI COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE

WEDNESDAY, APRIL 5

Assault, 7:24 p.m.

Deputies investigated the report of a domestic assault in Wilton. An adult male was arrested for obstruction and domestic assault.

Accident, 3:22 p.m.

Juvenile male transported to hospital by ambulance after rolling snowmobile on the 7100 block of Pete Ln. NW.

Agency Assist, 12:00 p.m.

Male arrested for threats of violence after reportedly threatening bank staff in Blackduck.

Accident, 7:22 a.m.

Deputy responded to a single-vehicle rollover on Whitetail Rd. and Big Bass Rd. NE.

Disorderly Conduct, 12:25 a.m.

Deputies responded to a disorderly conduct on the 5000 block of Theater Ln. NW. Adult male arrested for property damage, obstruction and out-of-county warrant.

TUESDAY, APRIL 4

Disorderly Conduct, 10:09 p.m.

Deputy made contact with a vehicle pulling a skier behind it on 14th St. and America Ave. NW. Both parties were directed it was not safe and they need to stop.

DWI, 7:15 p.m.

Adult arrested for DWI and DL status violation on the 400 block of Wood Ave. SE.

Animal, 7:44 a.m.

Chicken killed by golden retriever on Vincent St. NW. Unknown owner of dog.
