The following is a summary of incidents the Bemidji Police Department and the Beltrami County Sheriff’s Office responded to on Monday, June 13, and on Tuesday, June 14.
BEMIDJI POLICE DEPARTMENT
TUESDAY, JUNE 14
Assist, 8:43 p.m.
Officer responded to a report of a male throwing a ball at an apartment window on the 2800 block of Pine Ridge Ave. NW. The incident was determined to be accidental. No criminal activity was observed and no further actions taken.
Violations/Court Orders, 6:49 p.m.
Officer observed a subject violating a court order. One arrested on the 900 block of 30th St. NW.
Theft, 5:19 p.m.
Officer took the report of a bicycle theft on the 100 block of 12th St. NW.
Disorderly Conduct, 9:48 a.m.
Officer was informed of two people camping next to a local business on the 100 block of Paul Bunyan Dr. Upon arrival, the two males were gone on arrival and unable to be located.
Medical, 4:00 a.m.
Officers assisted at a medical involving two males apparently under the influence of controlled substances on the 1000 block of Birchmont Dr. NE. One male was transported to the ER via ambulance, the other was fine and not in need of any assistance.
Welfare Check, 2:17 a.m.
Welfare check on a man thinking he saw hostile subjects on the 700 block of Patriot Dr. NW. The man admitted to drinking and may have had a dream.
MONDAY, JUNE 13
Theft, 8:05 p.m.
Officer took the report of a bicycle theft on Irvine Ave. and Paul Bunyan Dr. NW.
Animal, 2:46 p.m.
Officer responded to dispatch a possibly injured deer on the 1900 block of Bemidji Ave. N. Upon arrival, the deer was giving birth and in fact, not injured.
Warrant, 1:16 p.m.
Warrant arrest on 3rd St. and Minnesota Ave. NW.
Suspicious, 2:16 a.m.
Suspicious person on Minnesota Ave. and 15th St. NW. One arrested for multiple warrants.
BELTRAMI COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE
TUESDAY, JUNE 14
DWI, 10:25 p.m.
Adult arrested for DWI on Bemidji Ave. and 3rd St. NW.
Assault, 12:36 p.m.
Deputies advised of possible assault on the 2100 block of Roosevelt Rd. SE. Male was arrested on outstanding warrant.
Trespass, 11:00 a.m.
Trespass complaint on the 1100 block of Porcupine Rd. SE. Handled by Leech Lake Tribal Police. One arrested.
Assist, 12:05 a.m.
Deputies assisted Hubbard County Sheriff’s Office on a traffic stop on Highway 2 SE. Three arrested.
MONDAY, JUNE 13
Animal, 4:27 p.m.
Bald eagle killed by a vehicle strike on Hwy 2. Bird turned over to MN DNR Conservation Officer.
Warrant, 3:37 p.m.
Adult female arrested on a local warrant during civil paper service attempt on the 8400 block of Thompson Ct. NW.
Property, 1:21 p.m.
Found rifle on the 34500 block of Highway 72 NE in Blackduck.
Accident, 1:00 p.m.
Deputies assisted the state patrol with an accident on Highway 2 and Highway 89 NW.
