The following is a summary of incidents the Bemidji Police Department and the Beltrami County Sheriff’s Office responded to on Tuesday, July 5, and on Wednesday, July 6.

BEMIDJI POLICE DEPARTMENT

WEDNESDAY, JULY 6

Violations/Court Orders, 10:59 p.m.

Report of threats and OFP violation on Paul Bunyan Dr. NW. One arrested and charges referred.

Security Check, 10:48 p.m.

Extra patrol on the 2900 block of Ridgeway Ave. NW. Apartment building noted in poor condition.

Disorderly Conduct, 9:49 p.m.

Male arrested for trespassing on the 600 block of 3rd St. NW.

Welfare Check, 7:20 p.m.

Male arrested on several charges on 6th St. and Minnesota Ave. NW. To be released when sober.

Civil, 7:19 p.m.

Female reported that a male mowed her yard without her permission and now wants money for his services on the 1000 block of America Ave. NW. She does not know the identity of the male. Officer identified male through his telephone number but was not able to reach him by phone.

Property, 4:14 p.m.

Bike left near dumpster approximately 10 years ago, possibly by former tenant on the 300 block of 15th St. NW. Complainant advised by officer to keep/destroy at their discretion.

Medical, 3:46 p.m.

Officers assisted EMS with a possible overdose on the 2500 block of Ridgeway Ave. NW.

Assault, 3:00 p.m.

Domestic assault on Irvine Ave. NW. Juvenile arrested.

Disorderly Conduct, 1:07 a.m.

Officer mediated a heated argument between a boyfriend and girlfriend on Ridgeway Ave. NW.

TUESDAY, JULY 5

DWI, 11:36 p.m.

Traffic stop on Paul Bunyan Dr. and 3rd St. SE. Driver arrested.

Disorderly Conduct, 9:56 p.m.

Officer took a fireworks complaint on Norton Ave. and 14th St. NW. Officer did not observe any fireworks in the area.

Assault, 9:20 p.m.

Juvenile female arrested for second-degree assault on Itasca Loop NW.

Disorderly Conduct, 8:30 p.m.

Officer responded to the report of a possible assault on the 800 block of America Ave. NW. No assault occurred, and one female was arrested on an out-of-county warrant.

Suspicious, 8:28 p.m.

Anonymous complaint of a suspicious person carrying a sign on Bixby Ave. and 14th St. NE. Officer had already checked on the subject who was acting within his lawful First Amendment rights. No action taken.

Assist, 7:04 p.m.

Assist Itasca County with locating a runaway juvenile. Juvenile located on Bemidji Ave. N and transported to the juvenile center without incident.

Medical, 11:58 a.m.

Officer assisted on a medical where a female was in labor, female was transported by Bemidji Ambulance from 1st St. SE.

Suspicious, 7:41 a.m.

Officer took a report of a male who had a machete on him while in public on the 800 block of America Ave. NW. Male was spoken with and agreed to put the machete away. No further actions were taken.

Fire, 1:04 a.m.

Handled by Bemidji Fire Department on the 1300 block of Beltrami Ave. NW.

BELTRAMI COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE

WEDNESDAY, JULY 6

Disorderly Conduct, 6:01 p.m.

Report of disorderly conduct on Archery Road and Division St. W. Bemidji Police handled call before deputy arrived. One arrested.

Property, 2:18 p.m.

Deputy received report of lost vehicle keys, last seen in pocket during the Debs parade.

Accident, 5:03 a.m.

Crash on Corlan Rd. NE in Kelliher. Bodily injury.

DWI, 1:23 a.m.

Adult arrested for DWI on Highway 2 NW.

Weapons Offenses, 12:44 a.m.

Incident handled by LLTPD on the 4600 block of Allens Bay Dr. SE in Cass Lake.

TUESDAY, JULY 5

Fire, 11:08 p.m.

Reported on the 17200 block of Mission Rd. SE in Cass Lake.

DWI, 9:24 p.m.

Adult arrested for DWI on the 4000 block of Kangas Curve Rd. SE in Cass Lake.

Warrant, 5:03 p.m.

Warrant arrest on 500th St. in Cass Lake.

Assault, 12:16 a.m.

Report of assault on Kappes Ln. SE in Cass Lake. One female arrested for domestic assault.
