The following is a summary of incidents the Bemidji Police Department and the Beltrami County Sheriff’s Office responded to on Monday, Sept. 26, and Tuesday, Sept. 27

BEMIDJI POLICE DEPARTMENT

TUESDAY, SEPT. 27

Welfare Check, 7:08 p.m.

Welfare check on female yelling on the side of the road on the 1200 block of Delton Ave. NW.

Theft, 4:57 p.m.

Officers assisted with a vehicle theft report on the 1200 block of Neilson Ave. SE. Vehicle was found and returned to owner.

Medical, 9:45 a.m.

Officers checked on a report of a suspicious elderly female screaming and causing alarm on Paul Bunyan Dr. and Middle School Dr. NW. Female was located and transported to a medical center. No further actions were taken.

Traffic Stop, 4:55 a.m.

Traffic stop for the driver driving after DAC-IPS on the 500 block of Paul Bunyan Dr. S.

Suspicious, 1:49 a.m.

Male reported yelling downtown on the 300 block of Beltrami Ave. NW. Contact made and advised male to go home.

Suspicious, 12:29 a.m.

Unknown male sleeping in caller’s car on the 1100 block of Bemidji Ave. N. Gone upon arrival.

MONDAY, SEPT. 26

Welfare Check, 11:09 p.m.

Caller heard female screaming on the 1800 block of Norton Ave. NW. Upon arrival, no screaming heard.

Suspicious, 10:54 p.m.

Officer received a report of a suspicious male with a knife on the 1400 block of Paul Bunyan Dr. NW.

Property Damage, 8:19 p.m.

Property damage on the 3600 block of Tamarack Ave. NW. Vehicles hitting mailboxes.

Theft, 3:46 p.m.

Officer took a report of theft on the 2000 block of Paul Bunyan Dr. NW. One juvenile arrested.

911, 2:18 p.m.

Officer took a 911 open line call on the 700 block of Stoner Ave. SE. Caller was contacted in person and was found to be struggling with a new phone. Caller was instructed on the basics of phone operations. No further actions were taken.

Burglary, 1:22 p.m.

Officer responded to a burglary that took place over the weekend on the 800 block of 12th St. NW.

Theft, 1:07 p.m.

Officer responded to a report of theft on the 2000 block of Paul Bunyan Dr. NW. One female arrested on outstanding warrants.

Property Damage, 12:18 p.m.

Officer took an informational report of a vehicle being egged on the 1100 block of Irvine Ave. NW.

Animal, 10:56 a.m.

Injured rabbit on the 400 block of 15th St. NW. Complainant given vet contact information.

Assist, 1:51 a.m.

Assisted US Border Patrol on the 1900 block of Paul Bunyan Dr. NW.

BELTRAMI COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE

TUESDAY, SEPT. 27

DWI, 9:35 p.m.

Adult arrested for DWI on Irvine Ave. and Great Divide Rd. NW in Puposky. Two runaway juveniles also arrested.

Weapons Offenses, 9:26 p.m.

Domestic assault reported on Stone Lake Rd. NW.

Warrant, 11:44 a.m.

Adult male arrested for outstanding warrants on Highway 2.

Fire, 7:36 a.m.

Reported on the 22300 block of Blackduck Lake Rd. NE in Blackduck.

Assault, 5:54 a.m.

One male arrested for domestic assault on Liberty Dr. NE in Blackduck.

Traffic Stop, 12:33 a.m.

DWI investigation on the 5000 block of Theater Ln. NW. Driver arrested and cited.

MONDAY, SEPT. 26

Suspicious, 8:23 a.m.

Deputy spoke with individuals who stopped at scene of a fire on the 15500 block of Roosevelt Rd. SE. No further actions taken.

Fire, 4:05 a.m.

Abandoned structure fire on the 15500 block of Roosevelt Rd. SE.
