The following is a summary of incidents the Bemidji Police Department and the Beltrami County Sheriff’s Office responded to from Thursday, June 29, through Wednesday, July 5.

BEMIDJI POLICE DEPARTMENT

WEDNESDAY, JULY 5

Suspicious, 6:48 p.m.

Officer was notified of a possibly suspicious van on Conifer Ave. and 23rd St. NW. After speaking to the caller, nothing criminal in nature took place.

Animal, 6:46 p.m.

Assist and advise cat owner with questions on the 2500 block of Minnesota Ave. NW.

Agency Assist, 5:16 p.m.

Violation of a restraining order in Wilton. Subject arrested.

Assault, 4:58 a.m.

911 call on 26th St. NW. Female reported being assaulted by her boyfriend. Male took off and was not located.

Welfare Check, 3:16 a.m.

Welfare check for female that was being followed by a group of people on Beltrami Ave. and 15th St. NW. Unable to locate group of people.

DWI, 12:20 a.m.

Traffic stop on 30th St. and Ridgeway Ave. NW. One arrested.

TUESDAY, JULY 4

Disorderly Conduct, 11:43 p.m.

Report of fireworks being thrown from a car on the 500 block of Justice Rd. NW. Gone on arrival/unable to locate.

Disorderly Conduct, 10:48 p.m.

Verbal warning for fireworks on the 600 block of Miles Ave. SE.

Suspicious, 10:11 p.m.

Caller heard footsteps and thought someone had broken into her house on America Ave. NW. Caller didn’t know family members were home. Unfounded.

Disorderly Conduct, 10:08 p.m.

Fireworks complaint from the 400 block of Miles Ave. SE. Fireworks were on waterfront. Permit issued.

Disorderly Conduct, 9:38 p.m.

Report of fireworks being set off on the 500 block of 27th St. NW. Officer located the house responsible and instructed them to be done, they complied.

Medical, 6:49 p.m.

Drug overdose on the 600 block of Bemidji Ave. N. Patient brought to ER.

Warrant, 9:37 a.m.

Officers arrested a subject on a local gross misdemeanor warrant on the 500 block of Paul Bunyan Dr. S.

Disturbing the Peace, 6:51 a.m.

Officers responded to a report of an assault on the 1400 block of Irvine Ave. NW. Individual uncooperative with providing information. Individual arrested on a felony warrant.

Disorderly Conduct, 3:40 a.m.

Caller reported her boyfriend’s father was drunk and being aggressive/belligerent on the 700 block of Lake Ave. SE. Subject was asleep upon officer’s arrival. All parties agreed to let him sleep it off.

Disorderly Conduct, 2:25 a.m.

Fireworks complaint on the 1000 block of America Ave. NW. Subjects located and warned. Subjects were apologetic and went in for the night.

MONDAY, JULY 3

Disorderly Conduct, 9:11 p.m.

Disorderly conduct on the 300 block of Bemidji Ave. N. One cited and arrested.

Assist, 7:35 p.m.

Caller locked out of his apartment on the 300 block of 26th St. NW. He solved the problem on his own.

Assault, 9:31 a.m.

Domestic assault arrest in downtown Bemidji.

DWI, 2:05 a.m.

Traffic stop on Highway 2 and Washington Ave. S. One arrested.

Suspicious, 12:49 a.m.

Caller reported possible prostitution occurring in an alley on the 100 block of 3rd St. NW. Suspects left the area prior to officer arrival.

SUNDAY, JULY 2

DWI, 8:14 p.m.

Traffic stop on Conifer Ave. and 15th St. NW. Driver arrested.

Traffic Stop, 1:48 a.m.

Traffic stop on the 200 block of Mississippi Ave. SW. Driver arrested.

SATURDAY, JULY 1

Security Check, 11:25 p.m.

Extra patrol targeting vehicle break-ins on 9th St. and Minnesota Ave. NW.

Hazards (dangerous), 11:08 p.m.

Report of downed powerline on the 600 block of 3rd St. NW. Handled by fire department.

Security Check, 9:46 p.m.

Male arrested for domestic assault on Dewey Ave. NE.

Suspicious, 8:21 p.m.

Officers responded to the report of an adult male possibly exposing himself in from of children on 14th St. NW.

Suspicious, 9:55 a.m.

Suspicious vehicle information on Paul Bunyan Dr. and Cross St. SW. Determined to be part of the Color Run and part of the Jaycees.

Assault, 1:19 a.m.

Report of a domestic assault on Dewey Ave. NE.  Male fled prior to Officer’s arrival. Male was located the following night and arrested.

FRIDAY, JUNE 30

Weapons Offenses, 11:20 p.m.

Officer’s squad was shot with a BB gun on 30th St. and Delton Ave. NW. No suspect located.

Welfare Check, 9:35 p.m.

Welfare check for male who stated he was an alcoholic and wanting to get sober on the 1100 block of Paul Bunyan Dr. NW. Male provided a courtesy ride to hospital to get cleared for detox.

Vehicle Calls/Complaints, 2:05 p.m.

Male cited and arrested for an A&D order and motor vehicle tampering on the 100 block of Mag Seven Ct. SW.

THURSDAY, JUNE 29

DWI, 6:15 p.m.

Report of an impaired driver in a parking lot on the 200 block of Minnesota Ave. NW. Male arrested.

Hazards (dangerous), 3:59 p.m.

An officer briefly assisted the State Patrol with a boat that fell off a trailer on 1st St. and Paul Bunyan Dr. SE.

Animal, 8:29 a.m.

Officer responded to dispatch a sick fox on the 2100 block of Harrison Ct. SW. Upon arrival, the fox was gone.

Accident, 2:02 a.m.

Damage to squad car during pursuit on Norton Ave. NW.

BELTRAMI COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE

WEDNESDAY, JULY 5

Burglary, 7:25 p.m.

Four juveniles cited for trespassing after entering a residence in Hines without permission.

Violations/Court Orders, 5:16 p.m.

Call in Wilton handled by Bemidji Police.

Animal, 8:32 a.m.

Owner called in that his pony had escaped its enclosure on Silver Maple Rd. NW in Puposky. Owners are looking.

Accident, 3:08 a.m.

Stolen vehicle located abandoned on the 4400 block of Eckles Rd. NW.

TUESDAY, JULY 4

Pursuit, 11:46 p.m.

Adult arrested for DWI and fleeing on the 1200 block of Little Norway Ave. SE.

Missing Person, 10:53 p.m.

Deputies responded to a missing child in Tenstrike. The child was located by family prior to deputies’ arrival.

Theft, 8:36 p.m.

Vehicle theft report in Bemidji.

Traffic Stop, 7:03 p.m.

Traffic stop for driving conduct on Summit Ave. and 3rd St. SE in Blackduck. Male arrested for DWI.

Disturbing the Peace, 12:05 a.m.

Fireworks complaint on Radar Rd. NW. The area was checked and no fireworks were observed.

Disorderly Conduct, 12:00 a.m.

Deputy checked the area for the report of fireworks on the 9900 block of Irvine Ave. NW. Unable to locate the source.

MONDAY, JULY 3

DWI, 11:41 p.m.

Adult arrested for DWI on Bemidji Rd. and Winter Sumac Rd. NE. Results pending.

Disturbing the Peace, 10:21 p.m.

Deputy checked the area of Angler Ct. NE for the report of fireworks. Unable to locate the source.

Assist, 8:06 p.m.

Deputies assisted state patrol on a traffic stop on Pete Ln. NW in Wilton. One arrested for DWI.

DWI, 6:18 p.m.

Adult arrested for DWI and drivers license status offense on Pete Ln. NW in Wilton.

Fire, 3:59 p.m.

Residential fire on Black Lake Rd. NE.

Animal, 4:31 a.m.

Deputy checked on a report of a donkey running at large on Parkers Lake Rd. and Power Dam Rd. NE. Donkey was gone on arrival and unable to be located.

Pursuit, 2:20 a.m.

Pursuit on Eckles Rd. and Mayflower Rd. NW. Adult male arrested.

SUNDAY, JULY 2

Disorderly Conduct, 11:13 p.m.

Report fireworks on Alps Ct. NW. Deputy responded to the area, no fireworks seen/heard/or smelled.

Security Check, 10:13 p.m.

Deputy advised of individuals lighting off fireworks on the 13700 block of Angler Ct. NE. Extra patrol of the area requested.

ATV, 7:10 p.m.

Reported four-wheeler accident on Williams Rd. SE in Cass Lake. Female adult driver transported by Blackduck Ambulance to Sanford Bemidji Hospital.

ATV, 6:33 p.m.

Adult arrested for criminal vehicular operation on Sandhill Rd. and Emerald Rd. W in Solway.

Disorderly Conduct, 3:27 p.m.

Deputy took a report of a firework complaint on Francis Ct. SE.=

SATURDAY, JULY 1

Disorderly Conduct, 10:26 p.m.

Reported aerial fireworks disturbing horses on Hillcrest Dr. NE. Complainant wanted deputy to tell the people to stop. Deputy made contact and parties advised they were done for the night and apologized. No further assistance needed.

Disorderly Conduct, 10:14 p.m.

Fireworks complaint on Lavinia Rd. NE.

911, 8:40 p.m.

911 misdial while riding 3-wheeler on the Fast Ln. NE in Kelliher. No assistance needed.

Burglary, 3:45 a.m.

Reported burglary on Main St. W in Kelliher. Deputies located male nearby. Male arrested.

FRIDAY, JUNE 30

Burglary, 9:47 p.m.

Reported burglary on the 1300 block of Little Norway Ave. SE. Two males arrested for burglary, two others arrested for warrants.

Animal, 9:30 p.m.

Report of owners attempting to catch a loose horse on Power Dam Rd. NE.

Accident, 4:20 p.m.

Motorcycle accident on the 4400 block of Roosevelt Rd. SE.

DWI, 10:45 a.m.

Traffic stop on the 2200 block of Paul Bunyan Dr. NW. Subject arrested on multiple warrants, DWI, driving while canceled IPS and fifth-degree drug possession.

THURSDAY, JUNE 29

Traffic Stop, 4:04 p.m.

Traffic stop in reference to a criminal sexual conduct case on Alps Ct. NW. One arrested.

Fire, 12:21 p.m.

Grass fire extinguished prior to deputies’ arrival on the 6700 block of Grange Rd. NW. No assistance requested by DNR Fire.
