The following is a summary of incidents the Bemidji Police Department and the Beltrami County Sheriff’s Office responded to from Thursday, July 6, through Wednesday, July 12.

BEMIDJI POLICE DEPARTMENT

WEDNESDAY, JULY 12

Assault, 11:05 p.m.

Complainant reportedly punched by unknown male in the entry to apartment building on the 2900 block of Ridgeway Ave. NW.

Assault, 10:28 p.m.

Officers responded to the 600 block of America Ave. NW on a report of a male that was stabbed. One female arrested.

Burglary, 8:40 p.m.

Reported on the 1500 block of Irvine Ave. NW.

Security Check, 4:10 p.m.

Security check of city hall on the 300 block of 4th St. at business closing time.

Fire, 4:54 a.m.

Trailer fire on Highway 2 at 15th St. NW. Officer provided traffic control.

Disorderly Conduct, 3:42 a.m.

Disorderly conduct on the 2500 block of Ridgeway Ave. NW. One arrested.

TUESDAY, JULY 11

Disorderly Conduct, 11:44 p.m.

Disorderly conduct on the 500 block of 26th St. NW. One arrested.

Civil, 8:26 p.m.

Officers mediated a civil dispute between two renters sharing an older home on the 900 block of Bemidji Ave. N. Both were complaining about each other being too noisy.

Assault, 7:o4 p.m.

Assault/fight involving two adult males on the 2600 block of Delton Ave. NW.

Suspicious, 8:49 a.m.

Report of a subject pouring cereal on the street in a local neighborhood on Gemmel Ave. SW. Subject known to law enforcement. No further action taken at this time.

DWI, 2:05 a.m.

Suspicious activity on the 1000 block of 30th St. NW. One arrested.

MONDAY, JULY 10

Welfare Check, 11:29 p.m.

Officer responded to the report of a male acting strangely and talking nonsense. The male reportedly walked into a nearby patch of weeds on the 1000 block of 30th St. NW. Officers thoroughly searched the area but could not locate the male.

Burglary, 8:12 p.m.

Officer took the report of a bicycle theft on the 2500 block of Park Ave. NW.

Welfare Check, 7:22 p.m.

Welfare check requested on juvenile daughter, requestor had HRO with mother so no welfare check was provided.

Animal, 3:27 p.m.

Aggressive dog reported on the 700 block of Minnesota Ave. NW.

Theft, 2:08 p.m.

Officers took a report of a backpack taken from a vehicle parked at a local restaurant near the 1600 block of Paul Bunyan Dr. NW.

Weapons Offenses, 1:50 p.m.

Reported on the 200 block of 29th St. NE.

Robbery, 10:22 a.m.

Robbery report on the 500 block of Lake Shore Dr. NE.

Suspicious, 12:13 a.m.

Report of a burglary in progress on the 3900 block of Irvine Ave. nW. Caller’s screen door was unlatched and creating the noise believed to be a burglary. Door secured.

SUNDAY, JULY 9

Assist, 11:56 p.m.

Adult foster client smoking marijuana inside foster home on Beltrami Ave. NW. Officer advised foster home to contact male subject’s social worker for further action.

DWI, 10:30 p.m.

Traffic stop on Conifer Ave. and 23rd St. NW. One arrested.

Assault, 9:02 p.m.

Officers responded to an assault in progress on 18th St. NW. Juvenile female arrested.

Harassment, 3:19 p.m.

Female reported that her neighbor was calling her repeatedly and showing up uninvited on Park Ave. NW. Advised her to seek an HRO and to call us immediately if he came back to her house.

Theft, 2:02 p.m.

Report of motorbike theft on the 1200 block of Park Ave. NW.

Suspicious, 1:17 p.m.

RP sending messages to a number she thought was her sister. The recipient told her she had the wrong number. She continued to text anyway and the recipient called her “Lucifer.”

Assist, 2:45 a.m.

Officer assisted individual on the 3900 block of Irvine Ave. NW in turning her furnace off.

Juvenile/Status Crimes, 1:10 a.m.

Juvenile female ran away from residence and was located. An additional juvenile male was arrested for fleeing and minor consume.

SATURDAY, JULY 8

DWI, 11:18 p.m.

Male driver placed under arrest for multiple offenses on the 600 block of Nordic Ave. NW.

Suspicious, 8:57 p.m.

Suspicious cheese left on window on 4th St. SE. Male individual advised he was able to remove cheese from storm window.

Suspicious, 3:02 p.m.

Report of a dumpster diver at CVS, he was not located.

DWI, 2:24 p.m.

Welfare check on the 700 block of Industrial Park Dr. SE. Male placed under arrest for DWI.

Vehicle Calls/Complaints, 2:10 p.m.

Report of vehicle tracks in a yard on the 700 block of Mississippi Ave. NW. Spoke to neighbor who apologized for having sister park in the yard and it won’t happen again.

Disorderly Conduct, 1:34 a.m.

Two female directed to leave bar on the 100 block of 3rd St. NW per employee request due to disorderly behavior.

Disorderly Conduct, 12:17 a.m.

Male placed under arrest and issued a citation on the 800 block of Paul Bunyan Dr. S.

FRIDAY, JULY 7

Suspicious, 11:03 p.m.

Officers responded to a report of gunshots on the 300 block of Amos Way NW. Officers did not hear any gunshots in the area or locate anything out of the ordinary.

Animal, 7:41 p.m.

Animal in parking lot on the 1600 block of Paul Bunyan Dr. NW. Officer advised female reporting party to not approach.

Suspicious, 6:46 p.m.

Officers called for a subject walking through yards and looking into windows on 26th St. and Irvine Ave. NW. Officers arrived on scene and were unable to locate subject.

DWI, 6:41 p.m.

Traffic Stop on 10th St. and Irvine Ave. NW. One arrested.

Security Check, 5:23 p.m.

Female reported her ex-boyfriend’s father was possibly circling residence she was staying at on Beltrami Ave. NW. Officers responded to the area and did not locate or observe any criminal activity.

Agency Assist, 2:03 p.m.

Assist task force with search warrant on Pine Ridge Ave. NW. Several children placed on protective holds.

THURSDAY, JULY 6

Traffic Stop, 10:27 p.m.

Male arrested during a traffic stop after a foot pursuit on 1st St. and Grant Ave. SE.

Disorderly Conduct, 10:11 p.m.

Fireworks reported on the 1300 block of Minnesota Ave. NW. Unable to locate.

Vehicle Calls/Complaints, 9:17 p.m.

Written warning for exhibition driving on the 2100 block of Paul Bunyan Dr. NW.

Theft, 4:17 p.m.

Theft of trailer reported on the 2400 block of Middle School Dr. NW.

Welfare Check, 11:26 a.m.

Small child found with no parents around on the 1400 block of Paul Bunyan Dr. NW.

Warrant, 11:02 a.m.

Officers assisted task force agents with a search warrant on the 600 block of Lake Ave. NE. Two arrested.

Suspicious, 2:33 a.m.

Checked on two subjects, one with an axe on the 300 block of 3rd ST. NW. Subject was demonstrating proper wood-cutting technique to a friend.

BELTRAMI COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE

WEDNESDAY, JULY 12

Fire, 10:29 p.m.

Report of a large fire on the 11300 block of Bemidji Rd. NE. Burning permit previously issued. No action taken.

Suspicious, 7:35 p.m.

Reported float plane flying low near water near the 22100 block of Pleasant Valley Rd. NW in Puposky.

Vehicle Calls/Complaints, 6:53 p.m.

Anonymous report of kids playing basketball in roadway on Pass Rd. NE in Hines. Parent advised of safety hazards and to have kids play in driveway.

Animal, 4:28 p.m.

Report of dog chasing chickens and running through multiple yards on Adams Ave. NW. Referred to Animal Control.

Violations/Court Orders, 4:23 p.m.

Report of DANCO violations in Cass Lake.

Warrant, 1:o3 p.m.

Deputy arrested an adult male for two local warrants on the 5000 block of Theater Ln. NW.

Welfare Check, 10:54 a.m.

Deputy conducted a welfare check on an adult male wandering up and down roadway on Northwood Rd. and Trengove Rd. NW in Solway. Male advised he lost his cell phone and was looking for it.

Disturbing the Peace, 10:51 a.m.

Deputy took a report of two individuals being loud on Doberman Ct. SE .Contact made, parents were playing with kids.

TUESDAY, JULY 11

Warrant, 9:03 p.m.

Adult male arrested on outstanding warrant on the 4400 block of Washington Ave. S.

Warrant, 6:48 p.m.

Adult male arrested for outstanding warrants on Highway 2.

Harassment, 6:34 p.m.

Deputy investigated a road rage incident that escalated into terroristic threats on the 1300 block of Stone Lake Rd. NW. Firearm involved.

Fraud, 4:26 p.m.

Cash shipment intercepted via UPS inspection on Dandelion Ln. NE.

Weapons Offenses, 2:23 a.m.

Deputies responded to a disorderly male on 1st St. NE in Blackduck. Parties separated.

MONDAY, JULY 10

Assist, 7:14 p.m.

Civil issue involving ongoing divorce and concerns about health insurance.

Sex Crimes, 11:49 a.m.

Report of a sexual assault in Bemidji.

SUNDAY, JULY 9

Weapons Offenses, 10:43 p.m.

Report of gunshots on Forest Ln. SE. Found to be fireworks.

Accident, 10:09 p.m.

Deputies responded to a vehicle in a ditch on Town Hall Rd. and Irvine Ave. NW. Male transported to Sanford ER.

Burglary, 12:24 p.m.

Deputy took a report of a burglary to an outbuilding on Mallard Ln. NE.

SATURDAY, JULY 8

Disorderly Conduct, 10:18 p.m.

Report of juveniles in roadway on Bemidji Rd. and Birchmont Beach Rd. NE. Juveniles located on shoulder of roadway.

Disorderly Conduct, 9:47 p.m.

Deputies advised of fireworks causing a disturbance on Radar Rd. NW. Five cited.

Vehicle Calls/Complaints, 3:51 p.m.

Deputies responded to a vehicle complaint on Highway 89 and Pony Lake Rd. NW. One arrested.

Suspicious, 2:12 p.m.

Deputy checked on a vehicle on the side of the roadway on Adelia Dr. and Roosevelt Rd. SE. Vehicle occupants were found to be picking up a walker.

FRIDAY, JULY 7

Warrant, 9:58 p.m.

Male arrested on a warrant on Highway 2.

Disorderly Conduct, 8:57 p.m.

Complainant was advised again that he needed to go through legal proceedings to evict the individual whom he let stay at his residence over the last two months on Shetland Ln.

THURSDAY, JULY 6

Vehicle Calls/Complaints, 11:53 p.m.

State trooper arrested male driver on Highway 71 and Sharp Rock Rd. NE in Hines. Deputy provided courtesy ride to female passenger.

Assist, 7:56 p.m.

One arrested on Highway 2 and Cardinal Rd. NW.

Traffic Stop, 12:00 p.m.

Traffi stop on Pass Rd. and Highway 71 in Hines. Driver cited for DAR and male arrested for out-of-county warrant.

Theft, 10:47 a.m.

Deputy took a report of a theft of firearms on Long Lake Dr. NE. One arrested.
