The following is a summary of incidents the Bemidji Police Department and the Beltrami County Sheriff’s Office responded to on Tuesday, Dec. 13.
BEMIDJI POLICE DEPARTMENT
Welfare Check, 7:48 p.m.
Officers responded to a welfare check on Park Ave. and 18th St. NW for a female sitting on a curb crying. Officers searched the area but were unable to locate any persons.
Assist, 7:15 p.m.
Local warrant arrest on the 1200 block of Paul Bunyan Dr. NW.
Welfare Check, 8:47 a.m.
Officer checked on female slumped over wheel on the 2200 block of Division St. W.
Accident, 7:45 a.m.
Officer took a report of a hit-and-run accident on the 1600 block of Anne St. NW.
Assault, 3:34 a.m.
Report of an assault at the jail.
Disorderly Conduct, 2:16 a.m.
Officer responded to the 600 block of Minnesota Ave. NW on report of an adult male displaying lewd behavior in a building vestibule. The male’s behavior was determined not to be lewd in nature and no further actions were taken.
Assault, 12:57 a.m.
Two males fighting downtown on the 300 block of Beltrami Ave. NW.
911, 12:21 a.m.
Officer spoke to a 911 caller who wanted a ride to a different county to go to the hospital. Officer advised caller not to contact 911 for non-emergency issues.
BELTRAMI COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE
Animal, 6:21 p.m.
Report of possible poaching issue near 2100 block of Lucas Ln. SE. Referred to DNR.
Fire, 4:47 p.m.
Reported on Cardinal Rd. NW in Puposky.
Suspicious, 11:11 a.m.
Deputies spoke with a citizen reporting suspicious vehicles driving on and possibly littering on county land near Sumac Rd. and Sandpiper Rd. NE in Turtle River. Case added to roll call.
