The following is a summary of incidents the Bemidji Police Department and the Beltrami County Sheriff’s Office responded to on Tuesday, May 30.
BEMIDJI POLICE DEPARTMENT
Traffic Stop, 11:04 p.m.
Traffic stop on 12th St. and Minnesota Ave. NW. One arrested.
Juvenile/Status Crimes, 10:33 p.m.
Report of two juveniles running through a store on the 2000 block of Paul Bunyan Dr. NW after curfew. Subjects were located and directed to go home. Parents were notified.
Assault, 8:59 p.m.
Officers responded to an assault in progress on the 1000 block of Washington Ave. S. Several people, including juveniles, were cited or arrested.
Theft, 6:44 p.m.
Theft of bicycle on the 1800 block of Birchmont Dr. NE.
Theft, 5:55 p.m.
Officer took the report of a theft from a vehicle on the 500 block of 6th St. SE.
Burglary, 5:45 p.m.
Burglary complaint on the 2100 block of Grotte Ave. NE. Theft of firearms and jewelry.
Suspicious, 5:24 p.m.
Officer took an informational report of a suspicious person trying to sell jewelry in a parking lot on the 1300 block of Paul Bunyan Dr. NW. Officer was unable to locate the suspicious person.
Violations/Court Orders, 2:58 p.m.
Transported one adult male to the jail for probation violation from the 1900 block of Irvine Ave. NW. A&D hold by probation.
Theft, 2:20 p.m.
Officers took a report of a stolen moped on the 1500 block of America Ave. NW.
Assist, 9:49 a.m.
Officers assisted probation with placing a subject under arrest for a probation violation.
Theft, 6:54 a.m.
Officers took a report of a theft from a vehicle on the 1000 block of Jeannette Ave. NW.
Suspicious, 1:30 a.m.
Report of five suspicious people walking around in an alley and/or sitting on a roof on the 400 block of Richards Ave. SE. No suspicious activity located in the area.
BELTRAMI COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE
Assault, 7:01 p.m.
Deputies advised of an assault on Theater Ln. NW. One was arrested.
Burglary, 6:37 p.m.
An adult male was arrested for first degree burglary, interference with a 911 call, property damage and assault on Theater Ln. NW.
DWI, 4:22 p.m.
Driver was stopped for speed on Highway 89 and Olson Rd. NW and arrested for DUI.
Family Crimes, 10:30 a.m.
Report of criminal damage to property on Whistler Dr. NW.
Accident, 4:21 a.m.
Truck vs. moose accident on Highway 72 NE in Waskish.
