The following is a summary of incidents the Bemidji Police Department and the Beltrami County Sheriff’s Office responded to on Tuesday, Sept. 6.
BEMIDJI POLICE DEPARTMENT
Burglary, 11:06 p.m.
Officer took the report of a potential burglary on the 1000 block of Bemidji Ave. N.
Assist, 9:15 p.m.
Salvation Army request. Denied due to no hotels accepting vouchers anymore.
Suspicious, 7:35 p.m.
Officer responded to a report for suspicious mail left in driveway on the 1000 block of Bemidji Ave. N.
Disorderly Conduct, 7:40 p.m.
Report of intoxicated male shouting profanity at females on the 600 block of Patriot Dr. NW. Male cited for disorderly conduct.
Accident, 6:30 p.m.
Vehicle vs. pedestrian on Justice Rd. and Irvine Ave. NW. Juvenile arrested.
Agency Assist, 1:07 p.m.
Transported one adult female to the jail for task force from the 2500 block of Itasca Loop NW.
Animal, 7:15 a.m.
Officer spoke with a party regarding an injured pigeon on the 100 block of 12th St. NW. Party was advised to let nature take its course. No further actions were taken.
Animal, 6:08 a.m.
Officer responded to a report of a contained cat on the 2000 block of Lake Ave. NE. Cat fled on paw prior to arrival. No further actions were taken.
Welfare Check, 3:05 a.m.
Female believes she heard her mother’s and son’s voices calling to her from under the bridge on the 100 block of Beltrami Ave. NW. Officers checked the area and confirmed they were not.
BELTRAMI COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE
Fire, 5:39 p.m.
Residents supervising the burn of an old trailer on HIghway 71 NE in Funkley. No assistance required.
Drugs, 1:07 p.m.
Deputies conducted a traffic stop on the 2500 block of Itasca Loop NW. One arrested, one cited.
Suspicious, 11:02 a.m.
Subject has two ghosts in his house and wants deputy to remove them. Referred to his preacher.
