The following is a summary of incidents the Bemidji Police Department and the Beltrami County Sheriff’s Office responded to on Wednesday, Aug. 19.

BEMIDJI POLICE DEPARTMENT

Assist, 8:47 p.m.

Officer attempted to locate vehicle that Red Lake was attempting to locate. Officer located vehicle on the 2000 block of Paul Bunyan Dr. NW.

Animal, 3:57 p.m.

Bear in tree on the 100 block of Lincoln Ave. SE. Referred to DNR.

Assist, 10:13 a.m.

Officer assisted ISR and the Paul Bunyan Drug Task Force with a warrant and transporting an individual in custody.

Suspicious, 2:30 a.m.

Suspicious male knocking at caller’s door on the 900 block of Bemidji Ave. N. Intoxicated male was located and advised he was at the wrong house. He was moved along.

BELTRAMI COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE

Missing Person, 8:26 p.m.

82-year-old with dementia walked away from home around 8:30 p.m. Located on neighboring property using Project Lifesaver equipment.

DWI, 4:42 p.m.

One arrested on Highway 71 and Knappen Hill Rd. NE in Port Hope Township.

Suspicious, 10:48 a.m.

Report of suspicious people in the middle of the road in Turtle River. Led to the arrest of an adult male for a DANCO violation.

Burglary, 9:08 a.m.

Report of burglary over weekend at the 40700 block of Highway 72 NE in Kelliher.

Burglary, 8:03 a.m.

Deputies responded to a complaint of a possible burglary in progress on the 7300 block of Little Bass Lake Rd. NE. One adult male arrested.

DWI, 6:43 a.m.

Traffic stop on the 600 block of Washington Ave. S. Driver arrested for DWI.
