The following is a summary of incidents the Bemidji Police Department and the Beltrami County Sheriff’s Office responded to on Wednesday, July 29.

BEMIDJI POLICE DEPARTMENT

DWI, 10:48 p.m.

Traffic stop on Middle School Dr. and Stu Wright Dr. NW. Multiple individuals placed under arrest.

Accident, 9:35 p.m.

Officers investigated a smoking vehicle on the 2200 block of Division St. W that appeared to have just been in an accident.

Property Damage, 5:59 p.m.

An officer responded to a property damage report on the 800 block of 26th St. NW. It was believed an individual was damaging their own vehicle and no victim was ever located.

Burglary, 4:52 p.m.

An officer took a burglary report on the 4400 block of Birchmont Dr. NE.

Assault, 4:32 p.m.

Officers responded to a report of an assault in progress on Bemidji Ave. N. One arrested.

Theft, 2:32 p.m.

Package theft reported on the 1400 block of America Ave. NW.

Suspicious, 1:26 p.m.

Two people were arrested on warrants on the 2200 block of Bardwell Dr. NW.

Suspicious, 12:41 a.m.

Caller reported possibly hearing someone in her apartment on the 1700 block of Bemidji Ave. N. Officers cleared the apartment finding nobody present.

Suspicious, 12:37 a.m.

Officer was notified of a male person possibly throwing eggs at the Paul and Babe Park. Upon arrival, no male or eggs were observed.

BELTRAMI COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE

Traffic Stop, 9:47 p.m.

Traffic stop on the 8000 block of Irvine Ave. NW. One male arrested for drug DWI.

Property Damage, 6:33 p.m.

Property damage to an outbuilding at the Beltrami County Fairgrounds.

DWI, 5:05 p.m.

Report of a reckless vehicle complaint on the 10500 block of Jade Dr. SW. Deputies met with driver. Ultimately, driver was arrested on numerous charges.

Fire, 1:36 p.m.

Report of a juvenile playing with sticks and a lighter on Fireside Dr. NW. Deputy spoke with kids and their mother. Situation was resolved.

Suicide, 8:13 a.m.

Subject walked Deputy through house to obtain ammunition that subject is prohibited from having under federal law.

Suspicious, 12:35 a.m.

Male cited for fleeing on foot on the 5600 block of Alps Ct. NW.
