Bemidji Fire suspects arson in recent Bemidji Township house fire

The Bemidji Fire Department has determined a fire initially reported two weeks ago was intentionally set.

Bemidji firefighters responded to the 1200 block of Miles Ave. SE around 8:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 25, for a fully-involved structure fire.

Due to the heavy fire within the residence, fire crews initiated an exterior attack and were on the scene for about two-and-a-half hours.

The structure and its contents were considered a total loss. No injuries were reported.

The arson determination was made due to evidence collected at the scene.

Anyone with information on this crime is encouraged to contact the Arson Hotline at 1-800-723-2020.
