Bemidji Police still seeking assistance in locating Matthew Asa

Residents and business owners in the downtown area are encouraged to look for Matthew Asa, last seen Christmas Eve at his Northwoods Apartment home on the 600 block of America Ave. NW.

Now that the snow is melting, owners are encouraged to check their properties for any sign of the 35-year-old.

Matthew is described as being 5’7″, 195 pounds with blue eyes and brown hair. He was last seen wearing a long-sleeve maroon shirt with wings on the front, black tennis shoes and khaki pants. He wore his head shaved in the last known photos of him.

Matthew was believed to have been walking in the downtown area the evening he went missing.

Residents in the business owners in the downtown area are asked to check their property, stored vehicles, fish houses, boats, campers and other outbuildings for anything suspicious or signs of Matthew Asa.
