Bemidji State ranked among best in the Midwest by U.S. News & World Report

Bemidji State was named among the best in the midwest in the America’s Best Colleges 2023 rankings released earlier this week by U.S. News & World Report.

BSU was among the top 100 master’s universities in the midwest region and tied for 26th in the region amongst public institutions.

The Midwest region includes North and South Dakota, Nebraska, Kansas, Minnesota, Iowa, Missouri, Michigan, Wisconsin, Illinois, Indiana and Ohio.

BSU tied with five other institutions for 89th place in the overall regional rankings and tied for 26th among public institutions in the region.

BSU also tied for 20th for “best undergraduate teaching” at Winona State and Minnesota-State Mankato.

BSU has appeared on the U.S. News list every year since 2009.

U.S. News & World Report evaluates schools on hundreds of data points using up to 17 measures of academic quality.
