The following is a summary of incidents the Bemidji Police Department and Beltrami County Sheriff’s Office responded to from Thursday, Oct. 28, to Sunday, Oct. 31.

BEMIDJI POLICE DEPARTMENT

SUNDAY, OCT. 31

Weapons Offenses, 6:11 p.m.

Report of shots fired on the 800 block of 2nd St. SE. Officers searched the area, unable to locate source.

DWI, 2:11 a.m.

Reckless vehicle complaint on Bemidji Ave. and Paul Bunyan Dr. S. Driver arrested for DWI.

SATURDAY, OCT. 30

Welfare Check, 11:20 p.m.

Adult male placed under arrest for DWI by BCSO on the 900 block of Washington Ave. S.

Fire, 5:38 p.m.

Officer responded to a report of a fire on the 2400 block of Park Ave. NW. fire department advised male he needed burn permit. Fire was extinguished.

Weapons Offenses, 1:34 p.m.

Officers responded to Irving Beach Dr. and Clausen Ave. SW for suspicious activity. No vehicle located. In speaking with neighbors, it appeared someone discharged a firework or flare gun. Cleared.

Disturbing the Peace, 4:42 a.m.

Officers spoke with female about children being loud on the 2400 block of Paul Bunyan Dr. NW. Female agreed to keep juveniles quiet.

DWI, 4:06 a.m.

Traffic stop on Middle School Dr. and 15th St. NW. Female driver arrested for DWI.

DWI, 2:17 a.m.

Traffic stop on 8th St. and Lake Blvd. NE. Driver arrested for DWI.

FRIDAY, OCT. 29

Agency Assist, 3:15 p.m.

Fatal vehicle crash on the 4400 block of Washington Ave. S. Dog placed at animal impound for safekeeping until next-of-kin can retrieve.

Weapons Offenses, 1:57 p.m.

Officers responded to the sound of a gunshot on the 1900 block of Middle School Dr. NW. The source was unable to be located.

Assist, 1:51 p.m.

Report of a vulgar sign hanging from a second-floor window of a house on Bixby Ave. and 14th St. NE. Reporting party would like the sign removed as it has the “f” word on it.

Public Relations, 12:16 p.m.

Reporting party had question on how to relinquish ownership of inherited firearms. Officer provided guidance on contacting firearms dealers.

Robbery, 11:27 a.m.

Report of a robbery on the 2700 block of Bemidji Ave. N.

THURSDAY, OCT. 28

Vehicle Calls/Complaints, 10:50 p.m.

Officers located a stolen vehicle on the 2800 block of Beltrami Ave. NW. Multiple individuals placed under arrest.

Theft, 7:14 p.m.

Report of stolen vehicle on the 400 block of 15th St. NW.

Suspicious, 3:26 p.m.

Officer placed a found, unspent round of ammunition from the 2800 block of Ridgeway Ave. NW into evidence for destruction.

Burglary, 8:25 a.m.

Theft of bicycle out of locked garage on the 1200 block of 30th St. NW. One arrested.

BELTRAMI COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE

SUNDAY, OCT. 31

Suspicious, 8:31 p.m.

Two kids in a car carving a pumpkin with a heart and their initials.

Property Damage, 7:48 a.m.

A report of damage to a lawn from neighbor’s pigs on the 22200 block of Hines Rd. NE.

Medical, 12:02 a.m.

Report of possible overdose in Cass Lake.

SATURDAY, OCT. 30

Agency Assist, 11:20 p.m.

Report of a male asleep at the wheel on the 900 block of Washington Ave. S. Adult male arrested for DWI.

Accident, 7:41 p.m.

Vehicle hit a power pole and telephone box on the 4000 block of BIg North Rd. NW. Vehicle towed, driver unable to be located.

Weapons Offenses, 4:16 p.m.

Report of sound of shots on the 2000 block of Little Norway Ave. SE. Found to be people practicing safely.

Assault, 2:15 a.m.

Subject arrested for domestic assault and threats of violence on Alps Ct. NW.

FRIDAY, OCT. 29

Accident, 3:15 p.m.

Fatal motor vehicle crash involving motor vehicle versus agricultural equipment on the 4400 block of Washington Ave. S. State patrol investigation.

Suspicious, 3:17 a.m.

Suspicious vehicle reported on the 400 block of Spike Ln. SE. Driver arrested for DWI.

DWI, 1:45 a.m.

Male arrested for second-degree DWI, DAR, and multiple warrants on the 17200 block of Mission Rd. SE in Cass Lake.

Suspicious, 12:41 a.m.

Vehicle complaint on the 4600 block of Little Loop Rd. SE in Cass Lake. Driver arrested for drug DWI.

THURSDAY, OCT. 28

Harassment, 6:17 p.m.

Male arrested for local warrant and violation of an OFP on Werner Rd. NW.

DWI, 1:44 p.m.

Adult male arrested for DWI and DAR on the 3900 block of Kimmur Rd. SW.

Weapons Offenses, 11:39 a.m.

Report of a non-fatal self-inflicted gunshot wound to adult male due to apparent negligent discharge of a firearm.
