Bemidji Weekend Blotter: 11/3-11/6

The following is a summary of incidents the Bemidji Police Department and Beltrami County Sheriff’s Office responded to from Thursday, Nov. 3, through Sunday, Nov. 6.

BEMIDJI POLICE DEPARTMENT

SUNDAY, NOV. 6

Family Matter- non criminal, 5:43 p.m.

Officers responded to a possible assault in progress on Pine Ridge Ave. NW. Upon arrival, it was mistaken for two juveniles rough housing.

Welfare Check, 10:54 a.m.

Officer took a report of a possible assault against a child on Lakeview Dr. SW.

Property, 10:17 a.m.

Officer took a report of found property on the 1400 block of Paul Bunyan Dr. NW. Property was covered in biological materials and destroyed.

Welfare Check, 12:53 a.m.

Male requested a welfare check on himself on the 600 block of America Ave. NW. He was delusional but fine.

SATURDAY, NOV. 5

Suspicious, 11:18 p.m.

Officer responded to the report of a suspicious male on the 1100 block of Paul Bunyan Dr. NW. Adult male arrested.

Disturbing the Peace, 9:52 p.m.

Officer responded to a report of two people yelling outside an apartment building on the 1800 block of Norton Ave. NW. The subjects were attempting to get the attention of a family member inside. The family member was found to not be home. The subjects left. No further actions taken.

Traffic Stop, 8:19 p.m.

Traffic stop on 19th St. NW. Male arrested.

Weapons Offenses, 8:05 p.m.

Officers responded to the report of possible gunshots in a residential area on the 500 block of 27th St. NW. Officers determined the sounds were from fireworks nearby.

Fire, 6:18 p.m.

Officer responded to a car fire on the 500 block of Justice Rd. NW. Upon arrival, Bemidji Fire controlled the scene. No criminal activity suspected.

Assault, 2:26 a.m.

911 hangup led to a male being arrested for second-degree assault and domestic assault on Norton Ave. NW.

Assist, 12:03 a.m.

Assist BCSO with warrant arrest on the 1100 block of Paul Bunyan Dr. S.

FRIDAY, NOV. 4

Fire, 11:22 p.m.

Unattended piles of burning leaves on the 1800 block of Paul Bunyan Dr. NW. Fire extinguished, homeowner advised fire must be attended and permit required.

Disorderly Conduct, 5:43 p.m.

Severely intoxicated male urinating in public on the 1500 block of Birchmont Dr. NE. Subject unable to walk, stand or communicate on arrival. Transported by EMS.

Suspicious, 5:40 p.m.

Citizen was concerned about all of the people in town begging others for money and rides on the 1300 block of Paul Bunyan Dr. NW.

Warrant, 3:54 p.m.

Officer arrested a male party on a Hubbard County warrant on the 2500 block of 1st St. E. The officer met Hubbard deputy where he was released to Hubbard County SO.

Weapons Offenses, 8:30 a.m.

Weapons report on the 1900 block of Middle School Dr. NW.

Disorderly Conduct, 12:06 a.m.

Officers spoke with three subjects potentially expelling a fire extinguisher on the 900 block of 30th St. NW.

THURSDAY, NOV. 3

Fire, 10:58 p.m.

Second structure fire at vacant building on the 2800 block of Ridgeway Ave. NW.

Fire, 7:23 p.m.

Structure fire at vacant building on the 2800 block of Ridgeway Ave. NW.

Medical, 7:02 p.m.

Assisted EMS with a lift assist on male reportedly having consumed hand sanitizer on the 800 block of America Ave. NW. Transported by EMS.

Disorderly Conduct, 1:15 p.m.

Report of disorderly conduct on the 1800 block of Paul Bunyan Dr. NW. Inividual arrested on DOC warrant.

Burglary, 8:02 a.m.

Report of an unknown female who caused damage in the building on the 600 block of America Ave. NW. One arrested.

Disorderly Conduct, 5:32 a.m.

Officer presence while TSA and Flight Staff denied access due to no boarding pass. No action taken by law enforcement.

DWI, 3:12 a.m.

Driving complaint on the 400 block of Wilson Ave. SE. Driver arrested for DWI.

BELTRAMI COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE

SUNDAY, NOV. 6

DWI, 5:14 p.m.

Adult arrested for DWI on the 9200 block of Irvine Ave. NW.

Theft, 4:03 p.m.

Theft of snowmobile and trailer on the 8100 block of Haven Ln. NE.

Medical, 9:25 a.m.

Deputy responded to a medical alarm activation/fall detection with no response. Elderly female’s cat pushed alarm button.

SATURDAY, NOV. 5

Vehicle Calls/Complaints, 4:56 p.m.

Reckless vehicle complaint on the 200 block of Spirit Ave. NW in Wilton. Driver arrested for DUI.

Civil, 1:17 p.m.

Deputy received a trespass/theft of deer stand complaint in Blackduck.

DWI, 12:03 a.m.

Suspicious vehicle on the 1100 block of Paul Bunyan Dr. S. Registered owner found to have an active warrant. Contact was made at a gas station. Driver was arrested for his warrant, DWI and possession of a controlled substance. A male passenger was also arrested for possession of a controlled substance.

FRIDAY, NOV. 4

DWI, 8:44 p.m.

Adult arrested for DWI and drug possession on the 2300 block of Trustar Ave. NW.

Assist, 6:59 p.m.

Two arrested on Highway 2 and Sundown Rd. NW.

DWI, 5:04 p.m.

Adult arrested for DWI, receiving stolen property and warrants on Irvine Ave. and Grange Rd. NW. Passenger arrested for warrants.

Fire, 3:25 p.m.

Suspicious structure fire of vacant residence on the 2100 block of Finch Ln. SE in Cass Lake. Fire Marshal investigating.

Burglary, 4:53 a.m.

Burglary alarm determined to be a female patron who was locked in the bar after passing out in the bathroom on the 100 block of Bemidji Rd. NW in Turtle River.

Weapons Offenses, 3:07 a.m.

Noise complaint on the 6900 block of Mission Rd. NE. Complainant could hear multiple gunshots throughout the day/night. Deputy responded to area, all was quiet. Unfounded.

THURSDAY, NOV. 3

DWI, 8:03 p.m.

Traffic stop on 1st St. and Scott Ave. SE. Male driver arrested for drug possession and DWI.

Weapons Offenses, 1:55 a.m.

Deputies responded to a noise complaint on the 7800 block of Long Lake Dr. NE.
