The following is a summary of incidents the Bemidji Police Department and the Beltrami County Sheriff’s Office responded to from Thursday, Nov. 5, to Sunday, Nov. 8.
BEMIDJI POLICE DEPARTMENT
SUNDAY, NOV. 8
Disorderly Conduct, 8:23 p.m.
Officer responded to a suspicious bang. Fireworks reportedly shot in the area. No subjects or fireworks located.
Warrant, 6:42 p.m.
Individual arrested on the 600 block of 4th St. NW for a probation violation warrant.
Accident, 5:16 p.m.
Officers responded to a report of a vehicle that hit a fallen tree on the 5400 block of Birchmont Dr. NE. No injuries. Officers assisted homeowner in clearing the roadway.
Fire, 4:37 p.m.
Caller reported dumpster fire on the 2800 block of Ridgeway Ave. NW. Subject left on foot.
Property Damage, 6:40 a.m.
Subjects drinking together got in an argument that led to a door being broken on the 2600 block of Delton Ave. NW. Subject was too intoxicated to make sense at time of incident. Officer spoke with complainant several hours later who declined charges of property damage.
DWI, 1:45 a.m.
Traffic stop on Paul Bunyan Dr. NW. Driver arrested for DWI.
SATURDAY, NOV. 7
Warrant, 7:39 p.m.
Officer arrested a subject on an out of county warrant on the 300 block of Beltrami Ave. NW. No new charges.
DWI, 7:37 p.m.
Traffic stop on the 2500 block of Bemidji Ave. N. Driver arrested for DWI.
Accident, 6:31 p.m.
Intoxicated male walked into moving traffic, not in a crosswalk, and was struck by a car on the 1200 block of Paul Bunyan Dr. NW. No injuries, no damage.
Theft, 11:59 a.m.
Theft from vehicle reported on the 2500 block of Minnesota Ave. NW.
Accident, 11:05 a.m.
Vehicle drove into trees and fence of residence on the 3900 block of Prairie St. NE. Subject arrested for DUI.
Theft, 5:07 a.m.
Report of a stolen guitar on the 1100 block of Paul Bunyan Dr. S.
Fire, 4:54 a.m.
Dumpster fire on the 900 block of 30th St. NW.
Fire, 4:05 a.m.
Officers responded to a trash can on fire on Beltrami Ave. and 4th St. NW. No witnesses, appears to be a possible accident.
Trespass, 12:14 a.m.
Responded to a report of a burglary on the 400 block of Roosevelt Rd. SE. Potential suspect was located and was looking for a friend that used to live in the residence.
FRIDAY, NOV. 6
DWI, 8:20 p.m.
Traffic stop on 24th St. and Irvine Ave. NW. Driver arrested for DWI and possession of a controlled substance.
Disorderly Conduct, 10:43 a.m.
Intoxicated subject yelling at people on the 200 block of Beltrami Ave. NW. Calmed down and resting on public bench.
Vehicle Calls/Complaints, 8:19 a.m.
Tampering with a motor vehicle reported on the 1300 block of America Ave. NW.
DWI, 2:13 a.m.
Traffic stop on 17th St. and Bixby Ave. NE. Driver arrested for DWI.
THURSDAY, NOV. 5
DWI, 11:24 p.m.
Traffic stop on 15th St. and Bemidji Ave. N. Driver arrested for DWI.
Assault, 7:57 p.m.
Officers responded to the report of a disorderly male on Scott Ave. SE. Subject was placed under arrest for domestic assault.
DWI, 4:10 p.m.
Traffic stop on Irvine Ave. and Paul Bunyan Dr. NW. One arrested for DWI.
Suspicious, 12:42 p.m.
Suspicious individuals reported in cemetery on the 1900 block of Bemidji Ave. N. They were checked and advised to clean up and quiet down.
Violations/Court Orders, 8:52 a.m.
Child protection investigation on the 2900 block of Ridgeway Ave. NW. DANCO violation was observed. Suspect jumped from a residence window and fled.
BELTRAMI COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE
SUNDAY, NOV. 8
Assault, 9:28 p.m.
Male arrested for domestic assault by strangulation in Bemidji.
Theft, 2:47 p.m.
Deputy received a report of stolen power tools, batteries and chargers on the 1300 block of Carr Lake Rd. SW.
Weapons Offenses, 10:48 a.m.
Deputies assisted the DNR with possible hunting violation on the 2200 block of Fox Dr. NW.
SATURDAY, NOV. 7
Weapons Offenses, 7:46 p.m.
Report of sound of shots fired on the 300 block of Island View Dr. NE. Area checked and uable to locate anything suspicious.
ATV, 4:39 p.m.
Complaint of ATV usage during hunting season on Flat Balsam Rd. and Meadowview Rd. NW in Solway. Unfounded, ATVs operating on private property.
Weapons Offenses, 1:01 p.m.
Deputies responded to a shots fired complaint on the 1800 block of Little Norway Ave. SE.
FRIDAY, NOV. 6
Traffic Stop, 11:18 p.m.
One arrested on Knappen Hill Rd. and Highway 71 NE.
Assist, 7:59 p.m.
Subject arrested for domestic assault in Blackduck.
Traffic Stop, 11:44 a.m.
One female arrested for 4th degree DWI and 5th degree possession of a controlled substance on the 600 block of Washington Ave. S.
THURSDAY, NOV. 5
Warrant, 10:55 p.m.
One adult female and one adult male arrested on warrants on the 400 block of Archery Rd. NW.
Traffic Stop, 10:32 p.m.
Traffic stop on Archery Rd. and Paul Miller Ln. NW. Driver arrested for DWI and drug possession.
Assault, 3:20 p.m.
Deputies responded to an assault in Cass Lake. Handled by LLTP. One arrested.
Warrant, 3:04 p.m.
Deputy met Red Lake Tribal PD at the line for a male with a DOC warrant.
Assist, 1:05 a.m.
Assist Hubbard County with a vehicle pursuit at Highway 2 SE and Grace Lake Rd. HCSO arrested one female party for fleeing and DWI.
