The following is a summary of incidents the Bemidji Police Department and the Beltrami County Sheriff’s Office responded to from Friday, Dec. 2, through Sunday, Dec. 4.

BEMIDJI POLICE DEPARTMENT

SUNDAY, DEC. 4

Other, 10:44 p.m.

Apartment flooding on the 2800 block of Ridgeway Ave. NW handled by Bemidji Fire Department.

Assault, 8:39 p.m.

Officers responded to a report of an assault that occurred in jail. Report was taken from correctional staff.

Welfare Check, 5:56 p.m.

Welfare check for a subject sitting in a snow bank on Stoner Ave. and Roosevelt Rd. SE. Unable to locate subject.

911, 2:53 p.m.

911 misdial on Stoner Ave. SE. Upon contact, it was a toddler who called. No assistance needed.

Assault, 12:06 p.m.

Officers responded to a report of a domestic on Irvine Ave. NW.

Suspicious, 3:40 a.m.

Welfare check for two people dancing in the roadway on the 1400 block of 30th St. NW. Both people found to be okay. Officers requested they stay off the road.

SATURDAY, DEC. 3

Accident, 11:27 p.m.

Officers responded to a report of a vehicle that was in the ditch on the 800 block of Lake Ave. NE. Vehicle had crashed into a tree. Driver transported to the hospital.

DWI, 10:25 p.m.

Traffic stop on Paul Bunyan Dr. and Gemmell Ave. SW. Driver arrested.

Family Crimes, 7:41 p.m.

Toddler tested positive for drugs on the 1300 block of Anne St. NW. Placed toddler on a hold.

Family Matter-Non Criminal, 7:18 p.m.

Officers responded to a family matter call on the 4000 block of Supreme Ct. NW. Officers arrived on scene and found that the male was wondering where his girlfriend was.

Assist, 10:58 a.m.

Public assist on the 2800 block of Pine Ridge Ave. NW. Broken waterline flooding apartment below.

Suspicious, 9:55 a.m.

Officer checked on suspicious vehicle on Highway 2 and Highway 71. One female arrested on outstanding warrants.

Welfare Check, 1:55 a.m.

Welfare check on adult male complaining of frostbite on the 1200 block of Paul Bunyan Dr. NW. Courtesy ride to ER.

FRIDAY, DEC. 2

Disorderly Conduct, 10:03 p.m.

Officers responded to a possible assault in progress in an apartment building.

Assault, 8:09 p.m.

Officers responded to an unruly autistic child on the 2000 block of Paul Bunyan Dr. NW. Mother arrested.

Accident, 6:57 p.m.

Single car accident on Division St. and Adams Ave. SW. Vehicle slid into a city light pole.

BELTRAMI COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE

SUNDAY, DEC. 4

Fire, 10:26 a.m.

Deputies responded to a vehicle fire on Highway 71 and Sprucewood Ln. NE in Hines.

Fire, 3:00 a.m.

Residential house fire on the 20600 block of Jenkins Rd. SE in Cass Lake.

Assist, 2:00 a.m.

State patrol arrest.

SATURDAY, DEC. 3

Medical, 9:48 p.m.

Male suspected of overdosing on a controlled substance in Cass Lake. Transported to hospital by ambulance.

Vehicle Calls/Complaints, 8:08 p.m.

Deputies responded to three individuals laying in the road on Highway 89 and Lumberjack Rd. NW. Subject arrested on his warrants. Two were given a ride to Bemidji.

FRIDAY, DEC. 2

Assault, 2:17 p.m.

Deputy responded to a possible assault on Luomas Ln. SE in Cass Lake. Leech Lake Tribal Police handled this incident prior to deputies’ arrival.

Agency Assist, 8:54 a.m.

Complaint of an alleged child abuse/assault incident in Blackduck. Three juvenile children were placed on 72-hour health/welfare holds.
