The following is a summary of incidents the Bemidji Police Department and Beltrami County Sheriff’s Office responded to from Friday, March 6, to Sunday, March 8.
BEMIDJI POLICE DEPARTMENT
SUNDAY, MARCH 8
Littering, 9:38 p.m.
Officers located four individuals breaking glass on the 2800 block of Ridgeway Ave. NW. Individuals cleaned up the glass and were escorted home.
Traffic Stop, 3:46 p.m.
Officer issued a verbal warning to multiple occupants in a motor vehicle on 26th St. and Irvine Ave. NW. One individual had a warrant for his arrest. He was transported to the jail and allowed to bail out. No further actions taken.
Fire, 12:38 p.m.
Assist at fire scene on the 900 block of Minnesota Ave. NW. Cleared.
Theft, 8:49 a.m.
Theft from vehicle reported on the 500 block of America Ave. NW.
DWI, 3:20 a.m.
Traffic stop on Beltrami Ave. and 9th St. NW. Adult female arrested for DWI.
SATURDAY, MARCH 7
Disorderly Conduct, 11:45 p.m.
Officers arrested an individual on the 100 block of Central Ave. SE for assault.
Theft, 11:31 p.m.
Report of a stolen vehicle on the 800 block of 26th St. NW.
Assault, 10:51 p.m.
Officers responded to a report of an assault in progress on the 1000 block of Washington Ave. S. One arrested.
Assault, 10:09 p.m.
Arrested an adult male for domestic assault (fear) and obscene communication on the 600 block of 3rd St. NW.
DWI, 9:18 p.m.
Traffic stop on Park Ave. and 26th St. NW. Multiple individuals placed under arrest.
Animal, 4:02 p.m.
Animal complaint on the 5100 block of Bemidji Ave N. Dogs attacked homeowner’s chickens.
Disorderly Conduct, 3:24 p.m.
One arrested for public nuisance on 3rd St. and Mississippi Ave. NW.
Traffic Stop, 11:17 a.m.
Driver and passenger were placed under arrest on 30th St. and Hannah Ave. NW for multiple violations.
Public Relations, 7:42 a.m.
Group of individuals walked from Enbridge Energy to BSU and onto Trans Canada.
Suspicious, 4:23 a.m.
Female arrested for warrant and assault on the 1000 block of Irvine Ave. NW.
Suspicious, 2:53 a.m.
Adult male placed under arrest for multiple charges on Minnesota Ave. and 4th St. NW.
DWI, 12:47 a.m.
Traffic stop on the 200 block of Paul Bunyan Dr. NW. Adult female arrested for DWI.
FRIDAY, MARCH 6
Traffic Stop, 9:05 p.m.
Traffic stop on Park Ave. NW. Adult female arrested for probation violation.
Assist, 3:37 p.m.
Agency assist on the 600 block of Beltrami Ave. One female arrested for probation violation.
Assist, 3:34 p.m.
Attempted to locate a baby on the 2800 block of Ridgeway Ave. NW for a protective hold per social services. She was not located.
Theft, 12:43 p.m.
Shoplifting report on the 2000 block of Paul Bunyan Dr. NW. One male was arrested for other offenses, one female was cited.
Assault, 10:55 a.m.
One arrested for DANCO violation and domestic assault, and assault of a police officer on the 1000 block of Washington Ave. S.
Theft, 6:16 a.m.
Traffic stop on the 2000 block of Paul Bunyan Dr. NW related to a shoplifting incident. One female arrested and another was cited.
DWI, 1:43 a.m.
Adult male arrested for DWI on Central Ave. SE.
DWI, 12:59 a.m.
Traffic stop on Lake Shore Dr. and Central Ave. NE. Arrested driver for DWI.
BELTRAMI COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE
SUNDAY, MARCH 8
Traffic Stop, 3:29 p.m.
Traffic stop on Nebish Rd. and Hagali Rd. NE in Tenstrike. One arrested for DUI.
DWI, 1:36 a.m.
Male arrested for 3rd degree DWI refusal on the 13400 block of Irvine Ave. NW.
Assault, 12:44 a.m.
Parties fighting at the Wilton Bar, three males cited for disorderly conduct.
SATURDAY, MARCH 7
Agency Assist, 10:51 p.m.
Deputies assisted Bemidji Police Department with taking an uncooperative subject into custody on the 1000 block of Washington Ave. S.
Assist, 5:54 p.m.
Deputies assisted Hubbard County with a pursuit on Mayberry Rd. and Highway 2 SE in Cass Lake. Two males were arrested by Hubbard County Sheriff’s Office.
Violations/Court Orders, 1:46 p.m.
A male was arrested for a DANCO violation.
Agency Assist, 11:17 a.m.
Deputy assisted the Bemidji Police Department on a traffic stop on 30th St. and Hannah Ave. NW.
Welfare Check, 10:40 a.m.
Report of suspicious person in the yard on the 500 block of 18th St. Deputy found no one in the yard.
DWI, 2:51 a.m.
Traffic stop on the 2700 block of Paul Bunyan Dr. NW. Driver was arrested for drug DWI and an outstanding warrant. Two passengers were arrested on warrants and other charges.
FRIDAY, MARCH 6
DWI, 11:21 p.m.
Report of people on roadside waving down other motorists on Lake Julia Dr. and Irvine Ave. NW. Deputy checked the area, unable to locate.
Suspicious, 12:55 a.m.
Checked on two suspicious parties, one cited for minor consumption on the 400 block of Brightstar Road NW.
