BEMIDJI POLICE DEPARTMENT

SUNDAY, APRIL 30

Warrant, 8:11 p.m.

Warrant arrest on the 500 block of America Ave. NW.

Disorderly Conduct, 6:53 p.m.

Disorderly conduct on the 200 block of Irvine Ave. SW. Male placed under arrest for public nuisance and to prevent further criminal activity.

Assist, 3:19 p.m.

Caller requested information to get passed on to the FAA in regards to Sanford Medical helicopter flying too low over residential areas.

Pursuit, 2:40 p.m.

Reckless vehicle reported on Washington Ave. and Carr Lake Rd. SW. Lead to pursuit, driver apprehended.

Hazards (dangerous), 12:29 p.m.

Downed sign in street on the 200 block of 5th St. NW. Removed by private contractor. Damage to city and private property.

Suspicious, 11:10 a.m.

Report of bones on the 800 block of 11th St. NW. Determined to be animal bones.

Accident, 8:51 a.m.

Accident on the 2300 block of Bemidji Ave. N. Vehicle struck building.

Assist, 1:20 a.m.

Sexual assault that occurred in the county, case referred to BCSO.

DWI, 1:08 a.m.

Traffic stop on Donald Ave. and Roosevelt Rd. SE. Driver arrested.

DWI, 12:46 a.m.

Traffic stop on 14th St. and Birchmont Dr. NE. One arrested.

Fire, 12:06 a.m.

Large backyard fire with black smoke on the 1500 block of Calihan Ave. NE. Individuals were advised on city ordinance and put fire out.

SATURDAY, APRIL 29

Pursuit, 10:23 p.m.

Juvenile male arrested for fleeing in a motor vehicle on Paul Bunyan Dr. and 1st St. E. Released to parent.

Traffic Stop, 10:18 p.m.

Traffic stop on Paul Bunyan Dr. and 1st St. E. Verbal warning to driver for no lights activated. Brief lesson on how to activate the lights corrected the problem.

Disorderly Conduct, 8:57 p.m.

Report of disorderly conduct on 14th St. and Park Ave. NW. One arrested.

Property Damage, 6:25 p.m.

Window broken by child on Pine Ridge Ave. NW. Civil matter.

Weapons Offenses, 5:30 p.m.

Report of a male with a gun on Park Ave. NW. Officer located firearm, which was an air-soft pistol that looks like a semi-auto. Cited male for ordinance violation.

Assist, 12:06 p.m.

Reporting party reported that his ex-girlfriend dumped his clothing in the yard on Itasca Loop NW. Advised RP to seek damages through civil court.

Suspicious, 4:41 a.m.

Caller reported she has a suspicious feeling on America Ave. NW. Officers checked the area and were unable to locate anything suspicious.

DWI, 12:46 a.m.

Traffic stop on 1st St. E and Lake Ave. NE. One arrested.

Disorderly Conduct, 12:21 a.m.

Male arrested for public nuisance on the 900 block of Irvine Ave. NW. To be released when sober.

Suspicious, 12:07 a.m.

Officers responded to the report of possible person in a residence on 15th St. NW. It was determined to be curtain moving from open window.

FRIDAY, APRIL 28

Burglary, 11:19 p.m.

Burglary report on the 2800 block of Pine Ridge Ave. NW.

Vehicle Calls/Complaints, 10:40 p.m.

Driving complaint at local business parking lot on the 2100 block of Paul Bunyan Dr. NW. Troublesome vehicles left the area.

Traffic Stop, 9:44 p.m.

Traffic stop on Highway 2 and Graycalm Ct. SE. Driver arrested on multiple offenses.

DWI, 8:18 p.m.

Traffic stop on 28th St. and Hannah Ave. NW. One arrested.

Suspicious, 5:39 p.m.

Report of adults running through yards near the college campus on Bixby Ave. NE. They were not located.

THURSDAY, APRIL 27

Public Relations, 7:41 a.m.

Questions regarding neighborhood crime issues on 14th St. and Delton Ave. NW.

Traffic Stop, 8:48 p.m.

Traffic stop on 13th St. and Irvine Ave. NW. Several arrested.

Civil, 8:39 p.m.

Lost Air Pods tracked to address on Roosevelt Rd. SE. Officers assisted with mediating between parties to assist return.

Accident, 5:18 p.m.

Vehicle vs. bicycle on Bemidji Ave. and Inglewood St. NW. Male individual transported to ER.

Suspicious, 4:15 p.m.

Male subject with outstanding warrants ran from officers on America Ave. NW. Not located.

Found, 1:28 p.m.

Abandoned trailer on Lake Ave. and Riverside Dr. NE towed by Bob’s Towing. No owner information available on homemade trailer.

Warrant, 12:01 p.m.

Warrant check and arrest on the 2600 block of Delton Ave. NW.

Found, 9:33 a.m.

Child found outside of residence on Bixby Ave. NE. Parents nearby, discussed solutions to prevent wandering. Closed.

Assist, 7:09 a.m.

Assist Paul Bunyan Task Force with a search warrant on Park Ave. NW. Four arrested.

BELTRAMI COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE

SUNDAY, APRIL 30

Disorderly Conduct, 7:02 p.m.

Report of domestic assault between roommates in Blackduck. One arrested.

Property Damage, 4:57 p.m.

Report of children throwing rocks at vehicles on Alps Ct. NW. Deputies were unable to make contact with the complainant. The area was searched but nothing suspicious was observed.

Fire, 1:40 p.m.

Reported on Scotchpine Ct. NW.

SATURDAY, APRIL 29

Drugs, 8:18 p.m.

Questions by landlord about removing tenants using marijuana in Wilton. Advised that this would be a civil issue.

Weapons Offenses, 8:19 p.m.

Deputies responded to a loud noise on Grange Rd. NW.

Welfare Check, 5:20 p.m.

Welfare check on female on Beaulieu Cir. NE. She was ok. Male with a warrant fled into woods. Not located.

DWI, 1:52 p.m.

Adult arrested for DWI and DL status violation on Bemidji Ave. and 6th St. NE.

Fire, 12:01 p.m.

Reported on Oak Hills Rd. SW.

FRIDAY, APRIL 28

Other, 8:36 a.m.

Caller had concerns about possible person impersonating an officer in Bemidji. Person in question was identified as a BCSO employee. Nothing further needed.

THURSDAY, APRIL 27

Accident, 11:10 a.m.

Property damage accident involving a bird striking a motor vehicle causing damage on Highway 2 and Northwood Rd. NW. No injuries.

Warrant, 10:18 a.m.

Deputy transported subject to the Beltrami County Jail on a local warrant.

Agency Assist, 7:09 a.m.

Assist Paul Bunyan Drug Task Force with a search warrant on Park Ave. NW. Numerous individuals arrested on outstanding arrest warrants.
