The following is a summary of incidents the Bemidji Police Department and the Beltrami County Sheriff’s Office responded to from Thursday, May 11, through Sunday, May 14.

BEMIDJI POLICE DEPARTMENT

SUNDAY, MAY 14

Welfare Check, 11:49 p.m.

Complaint of a female running around and acting erratic on 22nd St. NW. Area was checked and clear. Unable to locate.

Theft, 11:48 p.m.

Third-party report of a female tampering with vehicles on 21st St. NW. Unable to locate/gone on arrival.

Weapons Offenses, 11:39 p.m.

Male presented to Bemidji Hospital with gunshot wounds. Incident took place in Cass County.

Found, 12:15 p.m.

Report of a found handgun on the 3000 block of Cedar Ln. NW. Handgun was found to be stolen.

Theft, 10:15 a.m.

Vehicle theft reported on the 2500 block of Minnesota Ave. NW. Recovered in another jurisdiction.

Suspicious, 2:06 a.m.

Male individual sitting on reporting party’s porch on the 1100 block of Dewey Ave. NE. Officers made contact with the male, charging his phone. He was advised he needed to leave private property.

Property Damage, 1:10 a.m.

Report of property damage on the 100 block of 3rd St. NW. One arrested.

SATURDAY, MAY 13

Assault, 11:39 p.m.

Male arrested on several charges on Delton Ave. NW. Charges referred on female.

DWI, 9:34 p.m.

Female placed under arrest for multiple offenses on 13th St. NW.

Vehicle Calls/Complaints, 8:23 p.m.

Complainant requested assistance locating vehicle in possession of intoxicated ex. Caller recovered vehicle on Washignton Ave. S without assistance.

Property Damage, 4:55 p.m.

Report of keyed vehicle on the 2400 block of Middle School Dr. NW. Owner did not wish to pursue legal ramifications.

Fire, 1:55 p.m.

Report of possible fire near the high school on Division St. W. It was not located.

Medial, 11:26 a.m.

Adult female possibly overdosing on the 2500 block of Phoenix Loop NW was treated by Bemidji EMS.

Weapons Offenses, 3:48 a.m.

Report of a victim with a gunshot wound at the hospital, incident was referred to Cass County for follow up.

Medical, 3:32 a.m.

Officers responded to a possible overdose on the 800 block of 26th St. NW.

Theft, 2:50 a.m.

Firearm reported stolen from a vehicle on the 300 block of Beltrami Ave. NW.

Disorderly Conduct, 2:37 a.m.

Officer observed an argument on the sidewalk on the 300 block of Beltrami Ave. NW. Male arrested on outstanding warrant.

Medical, 12:50 a.m.

Officers assisted at a medical on Minnesota Ct. NW. Juvenile reportedly took too many Benadryl.

FRIDAY, MAY 12

Animal, 7:28 p.m.

Nuisance cat in the walls, cabinets of apartment on the 1000 block of Minnesota Ave. NW. Unable to capture and referred tenant to landlord.

Suspicious, 7:11 p.m.

Male cited for indecent exposure on Lake Blvd. and 10th St. NE.

Vehicle Calls/Complaints, 4:59 p.m.

Officer spoke with a male party who called in a vehicle with dark tint on the 500 block of Anne St. NW. RP called due to the fact he was not able to see who was driving.

Assault, 4:10 p.m.

Report of an assault on Bemidji Ave. N. Suspect was arrested. Citation for multiple offenses.

THURSDAY, MAY 11

911, 10:52 p.m.

Welfare check on adult male who was in the woods near the 600 block of 3rd St. NW. Male individual was transported to ER for further medical clearance.

Property, 5:08 p.m.

Male suspect attempted to pawn a stolen bike on the 200 block of Paul Bunyan Dr. NW. Cited.

Animal, 8:53 a.m.

Aggressive dog running at large on Minnesota Ave. NW. Owner cited.

Assault, 1:02 a.m.

Officer responded to Little Norway Ave. SE for a domestic assault in progress. Male arrested.

BELTRAMI COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE

SUNDAY, MAY 14

Pursuit, 10:01 p.m.

Red Lake Pursuit on Highway 1 NE. Sheriff’s Office was not involved.

Drugs, 6:16 p.m.

Deputy responded to a water bong located in the ditch on Trengove Rd. NW. Bong was disposed of.

Disorderly Conduct, 6:05 p.m.

Unknown neighbor telling other neighbor to quiet down on Nature Rd. NW.

Fire, 10:56 a.m.

Deputy assisted the Bemidji Fire Department with a contained fire call on Ness Rd. NW.

Fire, 10:53 a.m.

Report of a Bobcat on fire on N Blackduck Lake Rd. NE in Hines. No action taken by deputy.

SATURDAY, MAY 13

Weapons Offenses, 11:10 p.m.

Deputies advised of a possible subject with a firearm on Theater Ln. NW.

Assault, 10:30 p.m.

Deputies advised of a fight on Theater Ln. NW.

Welfare Check, 12:32 a.m.

Checked on a few kids on Theater Ln. NW, they lost a muffler. Nothing needed.

FRIDAY, MAY 12

Boat, 11:46 p.m.

Male upset about people catching walleyes before midnight. Forwarded to MN DNR.

Fire, 10:29 p.m.

Party complaint on Clearline Rd. NW in Shevlin. Gone on arrival.

Fire, 10:44 p.m.

Deputies advised of a possible fire near the 6800 block of Bittern Rd. NE. Turned over to DNR fire.

ATV, 7:05 p.m.

Deputies responded to the 3300 block of Jackson Ave. SW for an ATV accident. Driver was cited for reckless driving.

Vehicle Calls/Complaints, 4:43 p.m.

Subject arrested for DWI, also charged with DANCO violation in Tenstrike.

Accident, 1:56 p.m.

Deputies responded to a single-occupant rollover accident with injuries on Cardinal Rd. and Turgi Hill Rd. NW. One female was airlifted for life-threatening injuries.

THURSDAY, MAY 11

Disorderly Conduct, 11:04 p.m.

Request for removal on Augusta Dr. NE. One arrested.

911, 10:24 p.m.

911 open line near E Movil Lake Rd. NE. Phone was submerged in water and malfunctioning.

Sex Crimes, 8:29 p.m.

Report of possible dissemination of child pornography in Blackduck.

Assist, 6:46 p.m.

Assist another agency with pursuit in Gonvick. One arrested.

Fire, 5:32 p.m.

Deputies responded to a grass fire at a residence on the 1900 block of 5th St. SE. Bemidji Fire and DNR Fire took over scene.

Animal, 12:53 p.m.

Deputies checked the area of Palomino and Pinto Lanes NW for a horse on the loose. Unable to locate complainant or alleged missing horse.

Animal, 9:42 a.m.

Three-year-old girl attacked by a dog in Cass Lake. Flown to Fargo for her injuries.

Dead Body, 8:04 a.m.

Deputies investigated the report of a deceased adult female in Cass Lake. Body sent to autopsy per medical examiner.
