The following is a summary of incidents the Bemidji Police Department and Beltrami County Sheriff’s Office responded to from Friday, May 21, to Sunday, May 23.
BEMIDJI POLICE DEPARTMENT
SUNDAY, MAY 23
Weapons Offenses, 9:48 p.m.
Officers responded to the report of what sounded like a possible gun shot on 24th St. and Irvine Ave. NW. While on patrol, no criminal activity observed.
Burglary, 4:08 a.m.
Burglary/assault complaint on the 1400 block of 1st St. E.
SATURDAY, MAY 22
DWI, 9:52 p.m.
Traffic stop on Bemidji Ave. and 10th St. NW. Driver arrested for DWI.
DWI, 9:06 p.m.
Traffic stop on the 2000 block of Paul Bunyan Dr. NW. Driver was arrested for DWI and later released to a sober party.
Property Damage, 5:22 p.m.
Tree branches broken in yard, vehicle rummaged through. Extra patrol requested for the 1100 block of 4th St. SE.
Accident, 11:09 a.m.
Hit and run accident reported on Park Ave. and 23rd St. NW.
Welfare Check, 5:04 a.m.
Welfare check on an individual standing on bridge on Paul Bunyan Dr. SE. Subject was looking at the scenery and was asked to please stay off the bridge.
Disorderly Conduct, 12:42 a.m.
Assault complaint on the 300 block of Beltrami Ave. NW.
FRIDAY, MAY 21
DWI, 11:55 p.m.
Traffic stop on the 900 block of Carter Circle SE. Driver arrested for DWI.
Accident, 11:51 p.m.
Report of a hit and run on the 5300 block of Irvine Ave. NW. Suspect vehicle was not located.
DWI, 9:18 p.m.
Traffic stop on the 700 block of Silver Lake Rd. NW. Driver arrested for DWI and warrant, passenger arrested for warrant.
Theft, 6:25 p.m.
Officer took a theft from vehicle report on 26th St. and Minnesota Ave. NW.
Warrant, 8:08 a.m.
Officers assisted with a search warrant at a residence on the 1000 block of Washington Ave. S.

SUNDAY, MAY 23
Theft, 9:52 p.m.
Vehicle stolen from Turtle River Township. Vehicle recovered in Duluth and the suspect is in custody there.
Traffic Stop, 7:41 p.m.
Traffic stop on the 4400 block of Washington Ave. S. Driver arrested for DAC-IPS.
DWI, 6:27 p.m.
Traffic stop on N. Plantagenet Rd. and Monroe Ave. SW. Driver arrested for DWI, DAC-IPS, and fifth degree controlled substance possession. Passenger arrested for fifth degree controlled substance possession and dangerous weapon. One of the arrested parties was a 38-year-old man, and the other was a juvenile.

Traffic stop on Adams Ave. and Big North Rd. NW. Driver arrested for DAC-IPS.
Family Crimes, 9:26 a.m.
Report of children drinking hand sanitizer on the 1300 block of Anne St. NW. Children were okay.
Traffic Stop, 3:26 a.m.
Traffic stop on the 7100 block of Pete Ln. NW. Driver arrested for DWI and drug possession. Two passengers were arrested for outstanding warrants and drug possession.

Disturbing the Peace, 10:05 p.m.
Deputies crashed a wedding party on Augusta Dr. and Doral Dr. NE after a noise complaint. The bass was turned down.
Vehicle Calls/Complaints, 9:23 p.m.
Reckless vehicle complaint on Highway 2 and Highway 89 NW. Vehicle located by Bemidji Police Department.
Warrant, 7:58 p.m.
Female party arrested on a warrant on the 29300 block of U.S. Highway 2 NW.
Disorderly Conduct, 7:52 p.m.
Fireworks complaint on Palomino Ln. and Pinto Ln. NW.
Property, 7:16 p.m.
Recovered bicycle on Highway 2 and Magnolia Ln. NW.
FRIDAY, MAY 21
DWI, 11:20 p.m.
Traffic stop on Highway 2 and Wild Rose Ln. NW in Bemidji. Driver arrested for DWI.
Weapons Offenses, 10:06 p.m.
Caller called for shots fired on Mission Rd. and Osprey Ln. SE in Cass Lake. LLTPD arrived and cleared area before deputies arrived. Deputies checked area throughout the night.
Agency Assist, 9:18 p.m.
Traffic stop on the 700 block of Silver Lake Rd. NW. Two parties arrested, vehicle towed. Sheriff’s Office assisted Bemidji PD with the stop.
Welfare Check, 8:37 p.m.
Reporting party reporting her son-in-law may be drunk driving and wanted the BCSO to arrest him. Noted.
Suspicious, 8:19 p.m.
Male party arrested for warrants and fleeing on the 1600 block of Paul Bunyan Dr. NW. Female party arrested for obstructing legal process and fourth degree assault.
Suspicious, 7:52 p.m.
Suspicious vehicle on Spring Dr. and Winter Dr. NW. Driver arrested for DWI and fifth degree controlled substance possession. Passenger arrested for fifth degree controlled substance possession.
Theft, 12:37 p.m.
Report of a stolen firearm on the 200 block of Lakewood Dr. NW. Firearm entered as stolen. No suspects or evidence.
Animal, 8:00 a.m.
Accidental dog hit by vehicle on highway on the 8000 block of Old Long Lake Rd. NW. Dog deceased. No human injuries. Minimal vehicle damage. Dog owner notified.
Dead Body, 2:03 a.m.
Deputies investigated the report of an assault and discovered a deceased adult male. An adult male subject was arrested on the scene at 1000 block of Durand Dr. NW in Puposky.
DWI, 1:51 a.m.
Traffic stop on N. Plantagenet Rd. and Washington Ave. S. Driver arrested for DWI.
