The following is a summary of incidents the Bemidji Police Department and Beltrami County Sheriff’s Office responded to from Friday, May 28, to Monday, May 31.

BEMIDJI POLICE DEPARTMENT

MONDAY, MAY 31

Weapons Offenses, 11:17 p.m.

Multiple calls on possible gunshots on the 1400 block of Irvine Ave. NW. Officers checked the area. Witnesses stated it was actually fireworks.

Disorderly Conduct, 8:28 p.m.

Officers responded to disorderly juveniles playing with fireworks on the 2800 block of Ridgeway Ave. NW. Officer advised the children to stop and notified their parents.

Disorderly Conduct, 8:09 p.m.

Caller reported fireworks near his house on the 1000 block of Lake Ave. NE. Officer searched the area, unable to locate.

Welfare Check, 5:51 p.m.

Caller reported unattended four-year-old boy walking on side of street on 3rd St. and Grant Ave. SE. Officer brought child home.

Warrant, 3:22 a.m.

Adult male arrested on an outstanding warrant on the 2800 block of Ridgeway Ave. NW.

Assault, 12:03 a.m.

Report of suspicious female on the 900 block of Minnesota Ave. NW led to an arrest for multiple assault-related charges.

SUNDAY, MAY 30

DWI, 8:03 p.m.

Two-vehicle, non-injury accident on Irvine Ave. and Anne St. NW. One driver was arrested for DWI.

Theft, 7:01 p.m.

Officers responded to the report of two adult shoplifters on the 2000 block of Paul Bunyan Dr. NW. Adult male arrested on an outstanding warrant.

Theft, 10:59 a.m.

Report of attempted theft from apartment complex on the 700 block of 15th St. NW. Pending suspect identification.

Theft, 6:01 a.m.

Theft from vehicle reported on the 2700 block of Bemidji Ave. N.

Traffic Stop, 5:55 a.m.

Subject arrested for violation of no-contact order on the 5000 block of Theater Ln. NW.

SATURDAY, MAY 29

Disorderly Conduct, 11:17 p.m.

Adult male arrested for an outstanding warrant and fleeing on foot on the 800 block fo America Ave. NW.

Warrant, 10:37 p.m.

Officer responded to a welfare check on the 2600 block of Delton Ave. NW. One female arrested.

Animal, 10:05 p.m.

Officers responded to the report of a possible cougar sighting on the 1200 block of 30th St. NW. The cougar was not located.

Assault, 6:08 p.m.

Report of domestic assault on Itasca Loop NW. Two arrested.

Fire, 12:47 a.m.

Officer observed vehicle traveling on the 2500 block of Middle School Dr. NW with flames coming from under the vehicle.

FRIDAY, MAY 28

Fire, 11:57 p.m.

Agency assist for a grass fire on the 500 block of 3rd St. NW.

Assault, 6:47 p.m.

Adult male arrested for second-degree assault on the 2400 block of Lake Ave. NE.

Medical, 9:22 a.m.

Adult male doing some tree trimming cut his arm with a chainsaw on Pershing Ave. SE. He was transported by private vehicle to Sanford. No action taken by law enforcement.

Traffic Stop, 3:05 a.m.

Traffic stop on the 1700 block of Paul Bunyan Dr. NW. Written warning for multiple violations. Passenger arrested on an outstanding warrant.

BELTRAMI COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE

MONDAY, MAY 31

Disorderly Conduct, 8:54 p.m.

Report of a subject throwing fireworks at horses on the 2300 block of Royal Estates Rd. NE.

ATV, 8:04 p.m.

ATV accident with injuries on the 9600 block of Sunnyview Ct. NW. Female airlifted to Fargo.

Assault, 6:23 p.m.

Assault led to vehicle pursuit on the 3400 block of State Pard Rd. NE. Two juveniles arrested.

Animal, 1:18 p.m.

Deputy responded to slain chickens on the 900 block of Town Hall Rd. NW.

Suspicious, 1:09 p.m.

Deputy took information on confirmed stolen vehicle on Beaulieu Cir. NE. Unable to locate.

Accident, 10:45 a.m.

Hit and run fatal crash on Highway 72 NE in Waskish.

SUNDAY, MAY 30

Dead Body, 6:55 p.m.

Male party collapsed outside Kelliher Liquor Store. He was pronounced dead after lifesaving attempts were unsuccessful.

Boat, 2:53 p.m.

Report of people having fires on Star Island in Cass Lake.

Weapons Offenses, 1:51 p.m.

Possible weapons offense on the 10100 block of Pond Rd. N.

SATURDAY, MAY 29

Accident, 7:24 p.m.

One arrested on Carr Lake Rd. and Chapel Ln. SW.

Fire, 6:06 p.m.

Report of an old trailer house on fire, no injuries, on the 2100 block of New Maple Ridge NE in shines. Blackduck Fire responded to put out the fire. No assistance given.

Assist, 5:50 p.m.

One arrested on Turtle River Lake Rd. and Highway 71 NE.

Theft, 7:02 a.m.

Theft of catalytic converter on the 2400 block of Tyler Ave. SE.

FRIDAY, MAY 28

Disorderly Conduct, 7:28 p.m.

Deputies responded to the report of a disorderly male and a two-vehicle crash without injuries on the 200 block of Spirit Ave. NW in Wilton. Disorderly suspect fled the scene.

Burglary, 3:58 p.m.

Report of a burglary that happened several days ago on the 9800 block of Lefsa Ln. NW.

DWI, 1:57 a.m.

Female arrested for 3rd degree DWI on the 100 block of Highway 2 W in Solway.
