The following is a summary of incidents the Bemidji Police Department and Beltrami County Sheriff’s Office responded to from Thursday, June 17, to Sunday, June 20.

BEMIDJI POLICE DEPARTMENT

SUNDAY, JUNE 20

Vehicle Calls/Complaints 11:27 p.m.

Officers assisted female with moving her stalled vehicle out of intersection on the 2800 block of Irvine Ave. NW. Owner’s son was able to start and move the vehicle.

Disorderly Conduct, 8:48 p.m.

Report of fireworks in a residential area on the 1800 block of Minnesota Ct. NW. Subject stated the fireworks did not come from their address.

Fire, 8:14 p.m.

Report of a stump on fire near a house on the 1400 block of Delton Ave. NW. Fire Dept. extinguished flames. Renter contacted who was not at residence. Cause of fire unknown.

Disorderly Conduct, 5:11 p.m.

Fireworks complaint on Minnesota Ave. NW. Unable to locate.

Disorderly Conduct, 2:44 p.m.

Called to remove a subject from behind a business on the 100 block of Beltrami Ave. NW. Subject was apologetic and trying to stay out of the rain.

Assault, 2:32 a.m.

Female assaulted by male subject at bar close on the 100 block of 3rd St. NW.

Assault, 1:57 a.m.

Administrative citation to two people for disorderly conduct-engaging in a fight on the 100 block of 3rd St. NW.

SATURDAY, JUNE 19

Harassment, 10:01 p.m.

Mother called stating that her daughter had someone being mean to her. Officer was unable to reach the victim.

Accident, 9:32 p.m.

Bicyclist ran into a stopped vehicle on the 300 block of Beltrami Ave. NW. Bicyclist kept pedaling. No damage to vehicle.

Medical, 8:15 p.m.

Seventeen-year-old female experiencing cocaine overdose on the 1100 block of Event Center Dr. NE. Subject transported to ER by ambulance.

Medical, 7:24 p.m.

Caller reported possible overdose on the 2800 block of Pine Ridge Ave. NW. Subject was transported via EMS.

Disorderly Conduct, 7:23 p.m.

Caller reported teens threw a water balloon at his vehicle on 3rd St. and Beltrami Ave. NW. Teens were having a water balloon fight. Appeared accidental.

Theft, 11:17 a.m.

Motor vehicle theft reported on Irvine Ave. NW.

Fire, 4:32 a.m.

Car fire on the 2400 block of Park Ave. NW. Investigation pending.

Drugs, 2:02 a.m.

Traffic stop on the 1100 block of Paul Bunyan Dr. S. Multiple individuals placed under arrest.

FRIDAY, JUNE 18

Welfare Check, 8:05 p.m.

Officers responded to the 3000 block of Irvine Ave. NW to conduct a welfare check on a male walking in the roadway. Male refused officers’ assistance. One arrested and cited.

Suspicious, 7:48 p.m.

Caller reported a male pedestrian jumped at her car on the 3000 block of Irvine Ave. NW. Gone on arrival. Subject was later arrested for similar actions.

Fire, 1:54 p.m.

Agency assist at a fire on the 1100 block of Bemidji Ave. N.

THURSDAY, JUNE 17

DWI, 11:14 p.m.

Traffic stop on the 1200 block of Paul Bunyan Dr. NW. Driver arrested on multiple charges.

Disorderly Conduct, 10:48 p.m.

Officer responded to Gould Ave. and 5th St. NE on a report of fireworks. Officer located residence where aerial fireworks were being let off.

Property Damage, 2:04 p.m.

Vehicle struck a street sign in the median on Wood Ave. and 1st St. E. One arrested.

Disorderly Conduct, 9:36 a.m.

Intoxicated adult male found sleeping in a dumpster on the 100 block of 8th St. NW. He removed himself.

Vehicle Calls/Complaints, 1:16 a.m.

An officer observed a male walking down the middle of the roadway on 15th St. and Irvine Ave. NW. The male was advised to walk on the sidewalk and complained.

BELTRAMI COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE

SUNDAY, JUNE 20

Suspicious, 11:44 p.m.

Suspicious person arrested on the 5600 block of Alps Ct. NW.

DWI, 8:51 p.m.

Motorist assist on the 7100 block of Pete Ln. NW. Driver arrested for drug DWI and fifth-degree controlled substance.

SATURDAY, JUNE 19

Welfare Check, 8:52 a.m.

Local lodge reporting overdue kayakers on the 7500 block of Bemidji Rd. NE. Kayakers returned on their own early in the morning the next day.

Fire, 6:49 p.m.

Reported on Sandberg Rd. and Shotley Rd. NE in Waskish.

Welfare Check, 6:12 p.m.

Request for help from two runners on a snowmobile trail in Grygla. Handled and rescued by MN DNR.

Weapons Offenses, 1:41 p.m.

Report of a man playing with a handgun in the driveway on the 8500 block of Irvine Ave. NW. Gone on arrival.

Fire, 12:12 p.m.

Fire in Bear Den Landing in Jones Township.

Theft, 10:55 a.m.

Theft of vehicle reported on the 22100 block of Paint Brush Dr. NE in Cass Lake.

DWI, 3:23 a.m.

Traffic stop on the 2200 block of Roosevelt Rd. SW. Driver arrested for drug DWI and felon in possession of a firearm.

Traffic Stop, 1:46 a.m.

Motor vehicle pursuit of an attempt-to-locate vehicle on Ten Lake Trl. and Mission Rd. NE. Driver was tased and arrested for DWI and other charges.

FRIDAY, JUNE 18

Warrant, 11:38 p.m.

Male party arrested on a warrant on the 29300 block of US Highway 2.

911, 8:47 p.m.

iPhone angry that its owner was shutting it off dialed 911 from the Big Bog State Park in Waskish. No emergency response needed.

Theft, 2:27 p.m.

Postmaster reporting theft from two mailboxes on the 3800 block of Scribner Rd. NW in Wilton.

THURSDAY, JUNE 17

Weapons Offenses, 9:56 p.m.

Neighbor was shooting outside on the 2700 block of Roosevelt Rd. SE.

Suspicious, 9:12 p.m.

Male party slumped over in the driver’s seat parked in the middle of the street on the 1800 block of 5th St. NE. Male was arrested for DWI.

DWI, 8:40 p.m.

Male arrested for DWI, DAC-IPS, fifth-degree drugs, on Roosevelt Rd. and Pathway Rd. SE.

Fire, 8:38 p.m.

Wildland grass fire on the 2500 block of Old Long Lake Rd. NW. Extinguished by deputy and civilians.

Traffic Stop, 8:35 p.m.

Traffic stop on Mission Rd. and Ten Lake Trl. E in Cass Lake. Driver arrested for drug DWI.

Fire, 6:15 p.m.

Outside fire reported on the 19700 block of Fredenburg Rd. SW in Solway.

Disorderly Conduct, 5:26 p.m.

Fireworks complaint on the 9700 block of Ironwood Ln. NW.

Violations/Court Orders, 4:34 p.m.

One arrested for violating a court order on the 9900 block of Irvine Ave. NW.

Assault, 3:04 p.m.

Report of an assault on Mission Rd. and Porcupine Rd. SE in Cass Lake. Adult male arrested for DWI, PC to arrest female.

Warrant, 2:01 p.m.

Subject picked up on warrant on the 29300 block of US Highway 2.

Suspicious, 11:20 a.m.

Report of ongoing issues with a neighbor kid on the 5200 block of Monte Plata Rd. NW.

911, 9:55 a.m.

Inadvertant 911 call from hyperactive iPhone in a cup holder on the 54800 block of Highway 72 NE in Waskish. No response needed.
