The following is a summary of incidents the Bemidji Police Department and Beltrami County Sheriff’s Office responded to from Thursday, June 3, to Sunday, June 6.

BEMIDJI POLICE DEPARTMENT

SUNDAY, JUNE 6

Suspicious, 11:20 p.m.

Caller observed a suspicious male hiding in the bushes outside of her residence on the 2500 block of Irvine Ave. NW. Officer searched the area on foot but found no one present.

Fire, 10:53 p.m.

Caller reported possible fire on the 600 block of 3rd St. NW.

Suspicious, 10:25 p.m.

Shirtless, agitated adult male stumbling through the parking lot on the 400 block of Paul Bunyan Dr. NW. No assistance requested.

Ordinance Violations, 6:04 p.m.

Several callers reporting unattended dog howling inside apartment on the 500 block of 3rd St. SE. Owner cited for ordinance violation.

Animal, 4:09 p.m.

Caller reported dog howling all day inside apartment on the 500 block of 3rd St. SE. Dog howling on arrival. Could be heard from a block away. Tenant refused to answer the door.

Disorderly Conduct, 12:04 p.m.

The subject was not wearing a mask on an incoming flight and acting strange to the crew. Subject identified and left on her own without any incident on the 3800 block of Moberg Dr. NW.

SATURDAY, JUNE 5

Assault, 8:29 p.m.

Witnesses observed two females fighting in a parking lot on the 2000 block of Paul Bunyan Dr. NW. All suspects were gone prior to officer’s arrival and were not located.

Hazards (dangerous), 5:06 p.m.

Officer was advised of a possible gas leak on the 600 block of 4th St. NW. Bemidji Fire assisted.

Accident, 2:12 p.m.

HIt and run accident on the 1700 block of Birchmont Dr. NE.

Medical, 4:15 a.m.

Drug overdose on the 2500 block of Itasca Loop NW.

Disorderly Conduct, 12:36 a.m.

Caller reported possible harassment on the 2400 block of Paul Bunyan Dr. NW. Adult male arrested for out-of-county warrant. No new charges requested.

Assault, 12:01 a.m.

Caller reported seeing several people fighting with knives in a parking lot on the 600 block of Patriot Dr. NW. All were gone upon arrival.

FRIDAY, JUNE 4

Burglary, 7:42 p.m.

Officer took a possible burglary report on the 900 block of Carter Circle SE.

Fire, 7:01 p.m.

Officer assisted with business fire on the 300 block of Beltrami Ave. NW. Call was handled by the Bemidji Fire Department.

Assault, 12:26 p.m.

Domestic assault on Paul Bunyan Dr. S. Juvenile suspect arrested.

Suspicious, 1:00 a.m.

Officer responded to the report of a suspicious individual on the 2400 block of Middle School Dr. NW. Subject placed under arrest for an outstanding warrant.

THURSDAY, JUNE 3

Assault, 7:29 p.m.

Adult male placed under arrest for multiple violations on the 500 block of Paul Bunyan Dr. S.

Disorderly Conduct, 6:14 p.m.

Disorderly conduct on the 900 block of 30th St. NW. One arrested on a warrant.

Burglary, 3:56 p.m.

Burglary to apartment on the 900 block of 30th St. NW.

Traffic Stop, 12:17 p.m.

Occupants of a vehicle were placed under arrest for multiple charges on the 1700 block of 15th St. NW.

Vehicle Calls/Complaints, 9:45 a.m.

Recovered stolen vehicle on the 1800 block of Paul Bunyan Dr. NW.

DWI, 2:39 a.m.

Officer checked on a suspicious vehicle on 20th St. and Park Ave. NW parked in the alley with only running lights on. Driver subsequently arrested for DWI. One juvenile placed on 72-hour hold.

Assault, 12:13 a.m.

Adult male placed under arrest for numerous violations on the 1100 block of Bemidji Ave. N.

BELTRAMI COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE

SUNDAY, JUNE 6

Suspicious, 11:40 p.m.

Suspicious activity, kids with flashlights near the woods on the 5000 block of Theater Ln. NW. Checked area for them. Unable to locate.

Suspicious, 8:59 p.m.

Suspicious vehicle driver was arrested for drug DWI and fifth-degree possession of a controlled substance on the 200 block of Island View Dr. NW.

Suspicious, 7:30 p.m.

Concerns about people squatting on local, federally-owned lakeshore on the 19300 block of Gilfillan Rd. NE in Hines. Referred to the U.S. Forest Service.

Drugs, 10:25 a.m.

Adult male arrested for possession of a controlled substance on the 7500 block of Long Lake Dr. NE.

Found, 9:18 a.m.

Deputies responded to the report of an abandoned boat and trailer in Turtle River. Adult male arrested for felon in possession of ammunition.

DWI, 2:19 a.m.

Male arrested for third-degree DWI on Highway 89 and Radar Rd. NW.

SATURDAY, JUNE 5

Suspicious, 10:39 p.m.

Suspicious people possibly in her yard with flashlights on the 28500 block of Cutbank Rd. SE in Pennington. Leech Lake Tribal Police Department responded and were unable to locate anyone.

Animal, 9:33 p.m.

Cattle loose on the roadway on the 4700 block of Roosevelt Rd. SE. Farmer advised dispatch he was going to be moving them to a different field, further away from the roadway.

Disorderly Conduct, 9:09 p.m.

Deputy requested to assist and clear Rognlien Park at sunset on the 800 block of Grant Lake Ln. SW in Wilton.

Disorderly Conduct, 8:51 p.m.

Remove one from the 400 block of Archery Rd. NW. One female arrested for a felony warrant.

911, 8:34 a.m.

iPhone dialed 911 after it got scared during an ATV ride in its owner’s pocket on Emerson Dr. and Petes Plateau Dr. NE in Blackduck. Owner was spoken with and no action needed.

911, 8:10 p.m.

iPhone dialed 911 during a bridal shower. Honest to God it wasn’t trying to stop the wedding on the 6100 block of Winding Dr. NW. Owner spoken with and no action needed.

DWI, 7:30 p.m.

Traffic stop on Irvine Ave. and Fern St. NW. Driver and second driver arrested for DWI.

Warrant, 12:11 p.m.

Deputy med Red Lake Tribal PD with a subject of a Beltrami County Warrant on Highway 89 NW.

Accident, 5:41 a.m.

Motorcycle versus deer on Highway 71 and Town Hall Rd. NW. One male transported by ambulance.

Assist, 1:50 a.m.

Assist Cass County with a vehicle pursuit on Roosevelt Rd. and New Strand Rd. SE in Cass Lake.

DWI, 1:45 a.m.

Traffic stop on Highway 71 and Lakewood Dr. NW. Driver arrested for DWI and a passenger was arrested for outstanding warrants.

911, 12:38 a.m.

A suspicious 911 hang-up call led to the arrest of an adult male for DWI on the 31300 block of Highway 72 NE in Blackduck.

FRIDAY, JUNE 4

911, 7:51 p.m.

iPhone called 911 by ingeniously using the cramped space of a cup holder. Investigation revealed an invitation to a family fish fry on the 10100 block of Turtle River Lake Rd. NE.

DWI, 7:12 p.m.

Traffic stop on 3rd St. and Mississippi Ave. NW. Driver arrested for drug DWI, DAR, drug paraphernalia, no insurance, and a Cass County warrant.

Theft, 4:10 p.m.

Theft from a tool shed on the 20000 block of Buckhorn Rd. NE in Hines.

Suspicious, 2:07 a.m.

Report of a party yelling in the woods in Hines. Female located and brought to ER.

DWI, 1:36 a.m.

Male arrested for third-degree DWI on Mission Rd. and Birchmont Beach Rd. NE.

Welfare Check, 12:53 a.m.

Suspicious male on the 100 block of Convenience Ln. SW. Dropped methamphetamine pipe and was arrested for drug DWI.

Burglary, 12:15 a.m.

Leech Lake Tribal Police investigated a burglary on the 1000 block of Rivers Edge Rd. SE in Pennington. No deputy assistance requested.

THURSDAY, JUNE 3

Fire, 9:39 p.m.

Reported brush fire on Highway 72 and Fishermens Haven Rd. NE in Waskish. No response needed.

Assault, 9:30 p.m.

Juvenile male arrested for misdemeanor domestic assault in Blackduck.

911, 8:40 p.m.

New iPhone tricked owner into dialing 911 on the 17600 block of Scenic Highway NE in Blackduck.

Agency Assist, 4:39 p.m.

Assisted Blackduck PD with a road rage-ish incident on the 23800 block of Scenic Highway NE.

Theft, 2:51 p.m.

Deputy advised of a stolen TV on the 12200 block of Highway 2 NW.

Weapons Offenses, 12:27 p.m.

Deputy advised of a gunshot in the Bemidji area.

Agency Assist, 9:45 a.m.

Deputy arrested adult for DWI and other charges on the 1800 block of Paul Bunyan Dr. NW.

DWI, 3:41 a.m.

Traffic stop on the 800 block of Roosevelt Rd. SE. Driver arrested for DWI.

Agency Assist, 2:39 a.m.

Assist BPD with a non-compliant DWI arrest on 20th St. and Park Ave. NW.

DWI, 1:17 a.m.

Deputy checked on a male asleep at the wheel on the 1100 block of Paul Bunyan Dr. S. He was arrested for DWI.
