Bemidji Weekend Blotter: 6/7-6/11

The following is a summary of incidents the Bemidji Police Department and the Beltrami County Sheriff’s Office responded to from Wednesday, June 7, through Sunday, June 11.

BEMIDJI POLICE DEPARTMENT

SUNDAY, JUNE 11

Disorderly Conduct, 10:25 p.m.

Officers responded to the report of a possible fight and fireworks complaint on the 4000 block of Supreme Ct. NW. Upon arrival, it was determined no physical altercation had occurred.

Suspicious, 9:13 p.m.

Officers responded to the report of a suspicious individual on the 2500 block of Ridgeway Ave. NW. Subject placed under arrest for several outstanding warrants.

Littering, 3:22 p.m.

An officer responded to a littering complaint on the 1800 block of Conifer Ave. NW. Children were spoken to but the complaint was unfounded.

Sex Crimes, 3:04 p.m.

Report of sexual assault on 5th St. NW.

Suspicious, 12:31 p.m.

Suspicious person report on the 100 block of Gould Ave. SE. One arrested, one cited.

Warrant, 10:41 a.m.

Female arrested on warrant on the 1400 block of Paul Bunyan Dr. NW. No new charges.

Suspicious, 10:13 a.m.

An officer checked on a camp on the 1000 block of Washington Ave. S. All agreed to move along and clean up.

Assist, 9:23 a.m.

Female stuck in elevator on the 500 block of Minnesota Ave. NW. Female removed by fire department.

DWI, 2:17 a.m.

Traffic stop on Bemidji Ave. and 29th St. NW. Adult male arrested for DWI.

SATURDAY, JUNE 10

Assist, 11:46 p.m.

Officer assisted in identifying a male and confirming their age on the 300 block of Beltrami Ave. NW.

Agency Assist, 10:41 p.m.

Local warrant arrest on Highway 89 in Red Lake.

DWI, 7:13 p.m.

Traffic stop on 26th St. and Park Ave. NW. Multiple arrested.

Fire, 4:18 a.m.

Reported on the 5200 block of Willshar Way NW.

Vehicle Calls/Complaints, 12:32 a.m.

Officer responded to 4th St. and Central Ave. SE for a vehicle complaint. Two people were arrested.

FRIDAY, JUNE 9

Assault, 8:11 p.m.

Female placed under arrest for domestic assault on Minnesota Ave. NW.

Vehicle Calls/Complaints, 4:04 p.m.

Verbal disagreement between caller and individual after male was slowing traffic on 23rd St. NW by riding an electronic scooter on the road. Cleared.

Harassment, 10:45 a.m.

Individual concerned he might be the victim of possible “swatting” event on Minnesota Ave. NW. Informational email sent out to the department.

Traffic Stop, 1:16 a.m.

Traffic stop on 26th St. and Bemidji Ave. N. Verbal warning to driver. Passenger arrested on warrant without incident. No new charges.

Disorderly Conduct, 12:34 a.m.

Adult male placed under arrest for multiple offenses on the 400 block of Bemidji Ave. N.

THURSDAY, JUNE 8

Disturbing the Peace, 11:14 p.m.

Noise complaint on juveniles playing basketball at a local park on the 1100 block of Mississippi Ave. NW.

Suspicious, 9:24 p.m.

Report of possible drugs being cooked in an apartment building on Pine Ridge Ave. NW. Report was unfounded.

Disorderly Conduct, 7:06 p.m.

An officer responded to the report of a disorderly male on the 900 block of 30th St. NW. The male was placed under arrest on a Hubbard County warrant and transported to Hubbard County.

Assault, 6:58 p.m.

Officers responded to the report of a domestic assault on the 2500 block of Itasca Loop NW. Multiple juveniles placed under arrest.

Suspicious, 6:06 p.m.

Officers responded to a local store on the 2000 block of Paul Bunyan Dr. NW for a theft. One arrested, one cited.

Violations/Court Orders, 12:04 p.m.

DANCO arrest for another agency on the 900 block of 30th St. NW.

Drugs, 10:31 a.m.

Report of possible drug users on the 400 block of Bemidji Ave. N. Unable to locate.

Pursuit, 12:22 a.m.

Juvenile male arrested following a vehicle pursuit on 4th St. and Central Ave. SE.

Sex Crimes, 12:17 a.m.

Officers investigated criminal sexual conduct. One arrested on Ridgeway Ave. NW.

WEDNESDAY, JUNE  7

Traffic Stop, 10:14 p.m.

Traffic stop on 14th St. and Bemidji Ave. N. Adult male arrested on an outstanding warrant.

Suspicious, 9:12 p.m.

Officer arrested male on his warrant and for motor vehicle theft on the 9900 block of Irvine Ave. NW.

Burglary, 6:50 p.m.

Report of an attempted burglary on the 1300 block of Irvine Ave. NW. Male later arrested.

Sex Crimes, 2:13 p.m.

Runaway may have been victim of criminal sexual conduct.

Warrant, 12:35 p.m.

Male arrested on outstanding warrant on the 600 block of 3rd St. NW. No new charges.

Suspicious, 10:39 a.m.

Suspicious odor near a residence on the 600 block of 20th St. NW. Was a porcupine carcass.

DWI, 12:15 a.m.

Traffic stop on the 500 block of Paul Bunyan Dr. S. One arrested.

BELTRAMI COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE

SUNDAY, JUNE 11

Animal, 11:57 p.m.

Deputies responded to the report of three bears at a residence on Clendell Ct. NE. Bears left upon arrival.

Warrant, 7:18 p.m.

Male arrested on a local warrant on Augusta Dr. NE.

Security Check, 3:28 p.m.

Extra patrol request at Bemidji Speedway parking lots.

Suspicious, 1:22 a.m.

Deputy checked the area for suspicious noises around a residence on Island View Dr. NW. Area checked with K9 and no one was located.

SATURDAY, JUNE 10

Warrant, 10:41 p.m.

Deputy advised of warrant pickup on Highway 89 in Red Lake. Bemidji Police Department handled call.

Welfare Check, 8:31 p.m.

Welfare check on juvenile females. One placed on mental health hold with Sanford, and one placed on protective hold at Northwest juvenile center.

Welfare Check, 5:42 p.m.

Female walking near Tyler and Roosevelt Rds. SE acting suspicious.

Traffic Stop, 4:21 p.m.

A female was arrested for a warrant at Trengove Rd. and Jones Townhall Rd. NW.

Traffic Stop, 2:46 a.m.

Traffic stop on Highway 2 and Highway 89 NW. Adult male arrested on multiple charges.

FRIDAY, JUNE 9

Assist, 10:54 p.m.

Assisted MSP on a traffic stop on 15th St. and Adams Ave. NW. One arrested.

Animal, 12:58 p.m.

Possible horse neglect in Puposky.

Assist, 11:25 a.m.

Male arrested at request of adult probation on Francis Ct. SE.

Civil, 10:01 a.m.

Deputy responded to a possible vehicle theft on Pete Ln. NW in Wilton. Upon investigation, it was learned the registered owner had taken their own vehicle and no theft occurred.

Alarm, 12:29 a.m.

Male owner of house on Idlewild Dr. NE drank too much wine and could not remember passcode. No assistance needed.

THURSDAY, JUNE 8

911, 10:29 p.m.

Disorderly person at a campground on the 3400 block of State Park Rd. NE.

Warrant, 2:52 p.m.

One arrested on Washington Ave. S.

Animal, 1:06 p.m.

Deputy responded to a residence on the 700 block of Archery Rd. NW who had located a sheep in their yard. Resident stated they would keep sheep until animal control could take care of it.

WEDNESDAY, JUNE 7

Welfare Check, 11:08 p.m.

Report of a male driver that had been drinking. Deputy located vehicle on the 7300 block of Power Dam Rd. NE and arrested male driver for DWI.

Animal, 11:52 a.m.

Deputy took report of two dogs that killed two chickens on the 5600 block of Elliot Rd. NE.
