BEMIDJI POLICE DEPARTMENT
SUNDAY, AUG. 1
Vehicle Calls/Complaints, 8:07 p.m.
Reckless vehicle complaint on 15th St. and Bemidji Ave. N. Officers located the vehicle and discovered the driver was going through a medical emergency. Driver transported to the hospital.
Warrant, 7:32 p.m.
Officer conducted a traffic stop on the 500 block of Paul Bunyan Dr. S. Driver with a warrant was arrested.
Suspicious, 3:56 p.m.
Caller reported hearing people yelling and screaming on 16th St. and America Ave. NW. One adult male yelling at himself, no assistance needed.
Assault, 1:38 a.m.
Caller reported possible assault on the 900 block of 30th St. NW. Adult male arrested on his warrant.
SATURDAY, JULY 31
DWI, 11:43 p.m.
Report of a vehicle striking a light pole on the 600 block of Minnesota Ave. NW. Driver located and arrested for DWI.
Violations/Court Orders, 10:44 p.m.
Caller reported a medical on the 2100 block of Harrison Ct. SW. Officers later investigated an OFP violation. Adult male arrested for violating a court order.

Agency assist on the 1200 block of Little Norway Ave. SE. One male arrested for assault.
Assault, 6:58 p.m.
Adult female arrested for felony 5th degree assault on the 600 block of Minnesota Ave. NW.
Theft, 4:56 p.m.
Theft of a firearm from a residence reported on the 600 block of 3rd St. NW.
Suspicious, 12:43 p.m.
Report of male sleeping in a yard on the 1100 block of 1st St. E. Male was arrested on out of county warrants.
Robbery, 1:33 a.m.
Officers responded to a bar fight on the 100 block of 3rd St. NW.
FRIDAY, JULY 30
DWI, 2:13 a.m.
Traffic stop on Birchmont Ct. and Bemidji Ave. N. Driver arrested for DWI. Two arrests made in total.

Physical assault reported on the 100 block of Convenience Ln. SE.
Accident, 6:12 p.m.
Report of a two-vehicle crash on Sunnyside Rd. and N. Grace Lake Rd. SE. Male arrested for criminal vehicular operation.
Burglary, 3:35 p.m.
Burglary reported on the 18100 block of Trails End Rd. NE in Kelliher.
Traffic Stop, 3:04 p.m.
Traffic stop on Bass Lake Rd. and Lake Ave. NE. Adult male arrested for illegal immigration status.
Suspicious, 9:40 a.m.
Found bone on the 2500 block of Birchmont Dr. NE.
Assist, 8:13 a.m.
Report of an intoxicated male sleeping in a vehicle on the 4400 block of Northwood Rd. NW in Solway. Handled by Minnesota State Patrol. One arrested.
Accident, 6:39 a.m.
One vehicle rollover on Alvwood Rd. NE in Blackduck.
Pursuit, 1:58 a.m.
Traffic stop on the 100 block of Convenience Ln. SW. Driver arrested for first-degree DWI, fleeing in motor vehicle, DAC-IPS, fifth-degree DWI and warrants.
Assault, 12:05 a.m.
Report of a domestic assault in progress on Roosevelt Rd. SE. One male arrested for two counts of domestic assault.
SATURDAY, JULY 31
Agency Assist, 11:43 p.m.
Bemidji PD was handling a hit-and-run crash. Deputy located vehicle for them. One arrested.
DWI, 10:18 p.m.
Traffic stop on Roosevelt Rd. and Tyler Ave. SE. Driver arrested for drug DWI.
Suspicious, 8:54 p.m.
Checked on a hideously aromatic chest freezer on Nature Rd. and Jackpine Rd. NW. Freezer was found along a trail on state land. It was full of rotting meat and water.
Agency Assist, 7:37 p.m.
DANCO order violation and burglary on the 100 block of Main St. N in Blackduck. Suspect arrested.
Assault, 7:34 p.m.
Male party entered a residence unannounced and after being kicked out, returned with a large hunting knife and threatened to stab another male party. One male arrested for second-degree assault on the 1200 block of Little Norway Ave. SE.
DWI, 6:30 p.m.
Traffic stop on Plantation Rd. and Mission Rd. SE in Cass Lake. Driver arrested for DWI, felony warrants, false name, and fifth-degree controlled substance possession of methamphetamine and fentanyl.
Weapons Offenses, 3:37 p.m.
Report of possible gunshots on the 12800 block of Highway 89 NW.

Traffic stop on the 500 block of Paul Bunyan Dr. S. Driver arrested for DWI.

ATV II traffic stop on Coyote Rd. and Spencer Rd. NW. Driver arrested for DWI.

Vehicle pursuit on Spencer Rd. and Cardinal Rd. NW. One male arrested for DWI, fleeing, and felon in possession of a firearm.
Fire, 9:48 a.m.
House fire with minimal damage on the 500 block of Rolling Hills Dr. NW.
DWI, 8:57 p.m.
Checked on a vehicle while executing an arrest warrant on the 13600 block of Coyote Rd. NW. Driver arrested for DWI.
911, 7:39 p.m.
Claustrophobic iPhone dialed 911 after being smothered in owner’s purse while traveling in the family car. No emergency found on Highway 72 and Steel Bridge Rd. NE in Waskish. Owner was instructed on the Emergency SOS feature.
911, 7:38 p.m.
iPhone interrupted a pick-up game of volleyball by dialing 911 from a cup holder on a camp chair. No emergency found on the 1900 block of Stone Lake Rd. SW. Owner was instructed on the Emergency SOS feature.
Animal, 12:47 p.m.
Complaint of goats on the road on the 10900 block of Lumberjack Rd. NW in Puposky. Goats were secured in pen.
