The following is a summary of incidents the Bemidji Police Department and the Beltrami County Sheriff’s Office responded to from Friday, July 8, through Sunday, July 10.

BEMIDJI POLICE DEPARTMENT

SUNDAY, JULY 10

Suspicious, 11:18 p.m.

Officer checked on subjects near road after hearing yelling on the 600 block of 3rd St. NW. All was found to be fine.

Hazards (dangerous), 9:27 p.m.

Officer spoke with a male regarding a branch on a power line on the 700 block of Irvine Ave. NW. The power company was made aware of the situation.

Suspicious, 8:29 p.m.

Warrant arrest on the 1700 block of America Ave. NW.

Suspicious, 8:29 p.m.

Officer arrested female on her warrant on the 500 block of Paul Bunyan Dr. NW.

Assault, 8:03 p.m.

Report of a disagreement between two males who claimed to be friends on the 400 block of Bemidji Ave. N. Neither wished to pursue charges and each went on their separate ways.

Theft, 5:31 p.m.

Theft from vehicle reported on the 2000 block of Division St. W.

Assist, 2:33 p.m.

Officers assisted Leech Lake Tribal Police in attempts to locate a fleeing suspect on the 1300 block of Anne St. NW.

Vehicle Calls/Complaints, 11:20 a.m.

Road rage incident between two drivers on Paul Bunyan Dr. S. No action taken.

Hazards (dangerous), 10:26 a.m.

Report of tree on powerline on 8th St. and Mississippi Ave. NW. Handled by Bemidji Fire.

Welfare Check, 3:12 a.m.

Courtesy ride provided to ER at male’s request from the 1000 block of Washington Ave. S. Male stated he was having a difficult time sleeping.

DWI, 3:02 a.m.

Traffic stop on Washington Ave. and Carr Lake Rd. SE. Driver arrested.

Disorderly Conduct, 2:07 a.m.

Officers responded to the report of a neighbor being loud and possibly under the influence of a controlled substance on the 200 block of 9th St. NW. The subject was advised to quiet down.

Civil, 1:01 a.m.

Officer advised male on civil court process to get items back from girlfriend on 20th St. NW.

Vehicle Calls/Complaints, 12:58 a.m.

Two vehicles racing on the 1100 block of Paul Bunyan Dr. S. Driver arrested for DWI by Minnesota State Patrol.

Sex Crimes, 12:37 a.m.

Officers responded to a sexual assault in progress on the 600 block of Bemidji Ave. N. Adult male placed under arrest.

SATURDAY, JULY 9

Assault, 10:55 p.m.

Adult male placed under arrest for domestic assault on Pine Ridge Ave. NW.

Welfare Check, 10:20 p.m.

Welfare check on work employee locked inside building on the 2400 block of Middle School Dr. NW. Offiers responded and unlocked doors.

Disorderly Conduct, 9:14 p.m.

Officers responded to the report of disorderly conduct on the 2900 block of Ridgeway Ave. NW. Adult female placed under arrest for an outstanding warrant.

Burglary, 3:49 p.m.

Theft of garden tools reported on the 2600 block of Bixby Ave. NE.

Theft, 2:12 p.m.

RP reported that someone took her tarp overnight from the 500 block of 3rd St. NW. Officers located tarp a few blocks away near the bike trail and returned tarp to owner. Tarp was abandoned and no suspects are available at this time.

Medical, 9:24 a.m.

Report of an overdose on the 1000 block of Paul Bunyan Dr. S. Patient transported to ER by EMS.

Burglary, 7:09 a.m.

Burglary to unoccupied apartment on the 800 block of Grant Ave. SE.

Assault, 1:17 a.m.

Report of an assault on the 2500 block of Park Ave. NW. One arrested, charges referred.

FRIDAY, JULY 8

Assist, 11:34 p.m.

Officer assisted state patrol on a traffic stop on 10th St. and Jeannette Ave. NW. One arrested.

Disorderly Conduct, 11:31 p.m.

Adult male arrested for minor consume, obstruction, and threats of violence on the 3500 block of Minnesota Ave. NW. Charges referred on two juveniles.

Suspicious, 11:05 p.m.

Adutl female arrested for minor consume and obstruction on the 600 block of Miles Ave. SE. To be released when sober.

DWI, 8:16 p.m.

Traffic stop on Washington Ave. and Highway 2 SE. Driver arrested.

Disorderly Conduct, 6:43 p.m.

Officers responded to Beltrami Ave. and 2nd St. NW on report of a possible gunshot. Determined to be fireworks.

DWI, 3:28 p.m.

Driving complaint on the 2200 block of Irvine Ave. NW. Driver arrested for DWI.

Family Crimes, 2:36 p.m.

Report of female with questions regarding another individual’s medical information on the 1300 block of Anne St. NW. Individual was informed of HIPPA.

Theft, 1:23 p.m.

Report of vehicle theft on Minnesota Ave. NW. Determined to be unfounded as it had been simply moved.

Fraud, 11:38 a.m.

Elderly female was told by her daughter that the police were going to take her license. Officer assured female that officers were not trying to take her license.

Medical, 9:49 a.m.

Overdose reported on the 1800 block of Paul Bunyan Dr. NW.

DWI, 1:42 a.m.

Traffic stop on Pine Ridge Ave. and Maple Leaf Ct. NW. Adult female arrested for DWI.

BELTRAMI COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE

SUNDAY, JULY 10

Agency Assist, 8:12 p.m.

Adult male upset on Oscar Ave. NW in Blackduck due to a broken curtain rod.

Animal, 10:38 a.m.

Loose cow on Bootleg Lake Rd. SW. Owner got it back in the pasture.

Other, 9:47 a.m.

Deputies advised of a phone call regarding a broken shower rod on Oscar Ave. NW in Blackduck.

Disorderly Conduct, 1:21 a.m.

Report of possible burglary on the 1600 block of Scenic Highway SE in Pennington. Male transported to Sanford ER for head injury.

SATURDAY, JULY 9

Assist, 11:09 p.m.

Deputies assisted MSP on Harriet Ave. and Highway 2 NW in Solway. No action by deputies needed. One arrested.

Missing Person, 5:59 p.m.

Report of missing 11-year-old juveniles at West Wind Resort in Waskish. Juveniles located safe near resort.

FRIDAY, JULY 8

Vehicle Calls/Complaints, 8:16 p.m.

One arrested on Washington Ave. and Highway 2 SE.

Suspicious, 5:15 p.m.

Report of possible court order violation on Roosevelt Rd. SE. One arrested.

Disorderly Conduct, 11:27 a.m.

Male arrested for canceled license-IPS and criminal damage to property on the 5600 block of Alps Ct. NW.

Suspicious, 2:36 a.m.

Suspicious vehicle on the 100 block of Convenience Ln. SW. Multiple firearms were recovered. One 18-year-old and two juveniles were listed as the arrested parties.
