The following is a summary of incidents the Bemidji Police Department and the Beltrami County Sheriff’s Office responded to from Friday, Aug. 19, through Sunday, Aug. 21.

BEMIDJI POLICE DEPARTMENT

SUNDAY, AUG. 21

DWI, 10:08 p.m.

Traffic stop on the 2000 block of Paul Bunyan Dr. NW. Multiple arrested.

Assault, 7:13 p.m.

Adult male placed under arrest for domestic assault on St. Onge Dr. NE.

Assist, 5:40 p.m.

Assist Minnesota State Patrol on Paul Bunyan Dr. and Gillette Dr. NW. One arrested.

Civil, 4:48 p.m.

Assisted with a civil issue. Caller didn’t like people near bridge because they weren’t “fun.”

DWI, 2:20 a.m.

Traffic stop on the 700 block of 15th St. NW. Adult female arrested for DWI.

DWI, 12:41 a.m.

Traffic stop on the 4400 block of Washington Ave. S. Driver arrested.

SATURDAY, AUG. 20

Ordinance Violations, 10:12 p.m.

Report of people burning tires and trash on the 100 block of Rako St. SW. Officers spoke with residents and observed they were properly and legally burning firewood. Unfounded.

Assault, 9:36 p.m.

Officers responded to an assault in progress on Irvine Ave. NW. Juvenile placed under arrest for multiple offenses.

Welfare Check, 8:37 p.m.

Report of a toddler left behind but later reunited with parents on a pontoon. Officer unable to locate pontoon or identify parents or child which was reported on Lake Bemdiji.

DWI, 6:26 p.m.

Traffic stop on Roosevelt Rd. and Paul Bunyan Dr. SE. One arrested for DWI.

Suspicious, 4:42 p.m.

Officers responded to a suspicious person complaint on the 500 block of Miles Ave. SE. It was determined a neighbor had cut through the woods to their friend’s home.

Medical, 12:49 p.m.

Overdose on the 7200 block of 15th St. NW. Subject transported by ambulance.

DWI, 2:03 a.m.

Traffic stop on Washington Ave. and Highway 2 SE. Adult male arrested for DWI.

Disturbing the Peace, 1:16 a.m.

Noise complaint on 26th St. NW. Mom was trying to get her children to bed and they were running around causing noise to lower level.

FRIDAY, AUG. 19

DWI, 11:09 p.m.

Traffic stop on the 1100 block of Paul Bunyan Dr. S. Driver arrested. Lights on coupon provided.

Property Damage, 11:06 p.m.

Minor damage to statue on Beltrami Ave. and 5th St. NW.

DWI, 9:47 p.m.

Traffic stop on Minnesota Ave. and 4th St. NW. One arrested for DWI.

DWI, 8:23 p.m.

Traffic stop on the 1100 block of Paul Bunyan Dr. NW. One arrested for multiple offenses.

Traffic Stop, 8:22 p.m.

Traffic stop on Beltrami Ave. and 12th St. NW. Passenger arrested.

Sex Crimes, 3:13 p.m.

Online solicitation investigation.

Theft, 1:23 p.m.

Theft of video camera equipment on the 300 block of Beltrami Ave. NW.

Warrant, 12:16 p.m.

Officer observed female with outstanding warrant. Upon confirmation, she was arrested without incident on 28th St. and Pine Ridge Ave. NW, and transported to the Beltrami County Jail.

Property, 12:02 p.m.

Officer recovered multiple property items on the 1800 block of Paul Bunyan Dr. NW.

Weapons Offenses, 9:42 a.m.

Possible gunshot wound reported in Bemidji, referred to Beltrami County Sheriff’s Office.

Warrant, 9:15 a.m.

Officers located male with outstanding Beltrami County warrant. Individual was arrested on 5th St. and America Ave. NW and transported to Beltrami County Jail.

Warrant, 3:56 a.m.

Adult male arrested on multiple outstanding warrants on the 700 block of 15th St. NW.

Assault, 2:02 a.m.

Fight outside local bar on the 300 block of Beltrami Ave. NW. One cited.

BELTRAMI COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE

SUNDAY, AUG. 21

Vehicle Calls/Complaints, 6:31 p.m.

Deputies responded to a reckless vehicle complaint on Olson Rd. and Highway 89 NW. Female driver was arrested for DWI.

Weapons Offenses, 1:54 p.m.

Unable to locate origin of gun shots on the 100 block of Main Ave. E in Turtle River.

Weapons Offenses, 1:50 a.m.

Report of gunshots on the 5800 block of Sullivan Dr. NW. Single caller, gone on arrival.

SATURDAY, AUG. 20

Animal, 12:42 p.m.

Unable to locate diseased coyote on Little Norway Ave. and 23rd St. SE.

FRIDAY, AUG. 19

Weapons Offenses, 9:18 p.m.

Deputies responded to suspected gunshots in the area of Adelia Dr. and 23rd St. SE.

Agency Assist, 9:42 a.m.

Deputy responded to Sanford Hospital for a gunshot wound victim.
