The following is a summary of incidents the Bemidji Police Department and the Beltrami County Sheriff’s Office responded to from Friday, Aug. 5, through Sunday, Aug. 7.

BEMIDJI POLICE DEPARTMENT

SUNDAY, AUG. 7

Vehicle Calls/Complaints, 9:58 p.m.

Two juvenile runaways arrested in a stolen vehicle on the 2000 block of Paul Bunyan Dr. NW.

Family Matter-Non Criminal, 9:36 p.m.

Officer responded to the report of a verbal argument. It was discovered father took phone privileges away from daughter who was now upset. No criminal matter discovered.

Theft, 7:08 p.m.

An officer took a report of a theft from a vehicle on the 1700 block of Birchmont Dr. NE.

Harassment, 6:52 p.m.

Male arrested for making threats of violence causing people to leave a park on the 300 block of Bemidji Ave. N.

Theft, 6:37 p.m.

Officer spoke with an adult male regarding a theft from a motor vehicle on the 1500 block of Bixby Ave. NE.

Accident, 5:23 p.m.

Report of a bicycle colliding with a parked car on the 2700 block of Bixby Ave. NE.

Disorderly Conduct, 2:59 p.m.

Anonymous complaint of a male throwing bottles on the 700 block of Irvine Ave. NW. Officer located male and had subject pick up broken glass and dispose of it properly.

Theft, 2:07 p.m.

Theft from vehicle reported on the 300 block of 15th St. NW.

Assault, 1:22 a.m.

Male arrested for assault on Ridgeway Ave. NW.

SATURDAY, AUG. 6

Assist, 11:47 p.m.

Officers assisted state patrol with a DWI arrest at Paul Bunyan Dr. and Highway 71 NW.

Suspicious, 8:31 p.m.

Officer spoke with a male in the park on the 1200 block of 23rd St. NW. Male reported being upset and meditating. Male did not want assistance.

Disorderly Conduct, 8:15 p.m.

Male reported being chased on the 500 block of 26th St. NW.

DWI, 7:12 p.m.

Traffic stop on the 900 block of 20th St. NW. Adult male placed under arrest for multiple offenses.

Warrant, 2:00 p.m.

Warrant arrest on the 800 block of America Ave. NW.

Disorderly Conduct, 12:16 a.m.

Three intoxicated brothers not getting along on Irvine Ave. SW. Consultation was provided. No further assistance was requested.

FRIDAY, AUG. 5

Suspicious, 9:50 p.m.

Subject of removal complained about security guard at the beer tent on the 300 block of Bemidji Ave. N. No action taken.

DWI, 9:01 p.m.

Officers responded to a driving complaint on the 200 block of Paul Bunyan Dr. S. Adult male placed under arrest for DWI.

Assault, 8:56 p.m.

Male arrested for domestic assault on Minnesota Ave. NW.

Warrant, 8:54 a.m.

Warrant arrest on the 2800 block of Ridgeway Ave. NW.

BELTRAMI COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE

SUNDAY, AUG. 7

Accident, 7:28 p.m.

Deputies responded to a two-vehicle accident on Highway 89 and Lumberjack Rd. NW in Puposky.

Disorderly Conduct, 12:54 a.m.

Deputies responded to the report of four possible screams on the 8700 block of Country Club Rd. NE. Unable to locate.

SATURDAY, AUG. 6

Accident, 6:27 p.m.

One arrested on the 55700 block of Highway 72 in Waskish.

Weapons Offenses, 5:58 p.m.

Deputies responded to the sound of gunfire on the 9000 block of Walnut Rd. SE. Was found to be subject target practicing.

Assist, 8:45 a.m.

Deputies assisted probation on the 5600 block of Alps Ct. NW. Adult male arrested for probation violation.

FRIDAY, AUG. 5

Fire, 9:48 p.m.

Deputies responded to a vehicle fire on Highway 89 and Jackpine Rd. NW.

Traffic Stop, 7:22 p.m.

Traffic stop on Van Buren Ave. and Roosevelt Rd. SE. One arrested. Charges referred for driving after cancellation-inimical to public safety to county attorney.

Assault, 2:38 p.m.

Deputies advised of a physical assault on Jenkins Rd. SE in Cass Lake.

Suspicious, 11:09 a.m.

Deputy made contact with a distraught adult female walking down the roadway on Allens Bay Dr. and Kappes Ln. SE in Cass Lake. Subject was confirmed to have two outstanding arrest warrants. Promise to appear signed for Beltrami warrant, custody transferred to Cass County for their warrant.
