The following is a summary of incidents the Bemidji Police Department and the Beltrami County Sheriff’s Office responded to from Friday, Sept. 9, through Sunday, Sept. 11.
BEMIDJI POLICE DEPARTMENT
SUNDAY, SEPT. 11
Disorderly Conduct, 11:34 p.m.
Officers responded to a possible fight on the 2800 block of Ridgeway Ave. NW. No subjects or fighting were located.
Burglary, 5:48 p.m.
Officer took a report of a burglary on the 500 block of 2nd St. SE. Nothing apparently missing from residence.
Suicide, 3:32 p.m.
Officer responded to a report of a female attempting to jump off the bridge on Irvine Ave. SW. Female transported to Sanford.
Found, 2:20 p.m.
Officer spoke with complainant who found a baseball bat on her property on the 700 block of 21st St. NW. Complainant disposed of bat.
Assist, 10:26 a.m.
Reporting party found a license plate in his garage that he believed was a plate he reported stolen two years ago on the 3600 block of Tamarack Ave. NW. The plate was not the stolen plate. RP threw the old plate away.
Assault, 9:53 a.m.
Officer responded to a 911 call on Paul Bunyan Dr. SE. Upon arrival, it was a domestic assault and charges will be referred.
Disturbing the Peace, 2:33 a.m.
Noisy party complaint on the 1300 block of Bemidji Ave. N. Renters were given a warning and shut the party down.
SATURDAY, SEPT. 10
Disorderly Conduct, 9:53 p.m.
Officer checked on several people walking too close to the roadway on the 1700 block of Irvine Ave. NW. Subjects were leaving a house party. Renters were cooperative and shut the party down.
DWI, 6:11 p.m.
Officers received an anonymous complaint of a vehicle for driving infractions on Bemidji Ave. and 15th St. NW. Driver arrested for DWI.
Violations/Court Orders, 10:00 a.m.
Officer assisted adult probation on an A&D arrest on the 1800 block of Conifer Ave. NW. Male party was arrested and placed at the Beltrami County Jail.
Theft, 8:04 a.m.
Officer responded to a report of a male possibly breaking into a vehicle and thieving on the 2000 block of Paul Bunyan Dr. NW. The theft from vehicle was unfounded. One adult male was arrested for an outstanding DOC warrant.
FRIDAY, SEPT. 9
Disturbing the Peace, 11:44 p.m.
Loud music, 20-30 people in the back yard on the 1600 block of Calihan Ave. NE with open alcohol containers. Verbal warning for noisy party/disorderly house.
DWI, 10:53 p.m.
Officers observed small children unattended in an unlocked running vehicle on the 900 block of 30th St. NW. Mother/driver was located and arrested for multiple charges.
Theft, 7:35 p.m.
Caller reported a stolen package on the 800 block of Mississippi Ave. NW.
Warrant, 6:23 p.m.
Officers arrested subject on a felony DOC warrant on the 500 block of Paul Bunyan Dr. S.
Burglary, 6:03 p.m.
Officers responded to a local residence for a report of a burglary on the 1000 block of Bemidji Ave. N.
Assault, 3:15 p.m.
Officer took an assault report on Wood Ave. SE. Case referred to City Attorney for charging decision.
Welfare Check, 12:59 p.m.
Male yelling and walking close to roadway on the 4800 block of Bemidji Ave. N. Spoke with the male who stated he did not need anything. Male was informed to stay away from the roadway.
Theft, 8:05 a.m.
Report of items taken from a vehicle as it was parked in a garage on the 200 block of Gould Ave. NE.
Theft, 7:30 a.m.
Officer took a theft from a vehicle report on the 1700 block of 3rd St. NE.

SUNDAY, SEPT. 11
DWI, 9:18 p.m.
Traffic stop on Adams Ave. and 15th St. NW. Adult male and adult female arrested on multiple charges.
Suspicious, 11:56 a.m.
Suspicious male reported on the 700 block of Hidden Trail Ct. SW. Insurance salesman.
SATURDAY, SEPT. 10
DWI, 11:17 p.m.
Adult arrested for DWI on Lake Ave. and 7th St. SE.
Theft, 8:46 p.m.
Shoplifting complaint on the 9200 block of Irvine Ave. NW. Two females arrested, one for DWI.
DWI, 7:26 p.m.
Traffic stop on Highway 2 and 15th St. NW. Adult male arrested for DWI and DAR.
Suspicious, 6:25 p.m.
Report of a suspicious male selling insurance on the 500 block of Hidden Trail Ct. SW. Deputy confirmed salesman to be legitimate the day prior. No other assistance needed.
Assault, 10:49 a.m.
Leech Lake Tribal Police responded to an out-of-control child in Cass Lake. Juvenile arrested.
Weapons Offenses, 12:37 a.m.
Report of gunshots on the 20600 block of Jenkins Rd. SE in Cass Lake. Multiple parties arrested for warrants and a DWI.
FRIDAY, SEPT. 9
Traffic Stop, 10:47 p.m.
Adults arrested on warrants on Roosevelt Rd. and New Strand Rd. SE.
DWI, 7:02 p.m.
Deputy checked on vehicle bearing incorrect license plates on the 7100 block of Pete Ln. NW. Adult male arrested on multiple charges.
DWI, 6:20 p.m.
Adult arrested for DWI and driving status violation on Highway 89 and Hardwoods Rd. NW.
Civil, 3:13 p.m.
Wanted to document his opinion before he got in trouble on Doberman Ct. SE.
Sex Crimes, 1:34 p.m.
Complaint of an alleged criminal sexual conduct incident at a local foster care facility in Bemidji.
