BHS Speaker wins two awards at Marshall Speech Spectacular

One Lumberjack speaker won two awards during the Marshall Speech Spectacular tournament Saturday.

Bemidji High School junior Maya Lindquist placed fifth in the Prose Honor Final, and was Honors Champion in Original Oratory.

The Marshall Spectacular invited 35 schools from six states to the virtual competition.

The entire Lumberjack speech team will compete during Duluth Denfeld’s virtual tournament this Saturday, with another 35 teams expected to compete.
