A camper was completely destroyed in a fire Wednesday afternoon.

The Bemidji Fire Department responded around 2 p.m. to the 500 block of Jefferson Ave. SW and found a travel trailer fully engulfed in flames.

Twelve firefighters were on the scene for about one hour. No injuries were reported, but the trailer and its contents, valued at $50,000, are a total loss.

While the fire is currently under investigation, it appears to be accidental in nature.

The Minnesota State Patrol, Bemidji Police Department and Bemidji Ambulance Service assisted at the scene.
