Clear Lake man sentenced to more than 8 years in prison for sexual assault of minor

A Clear Lake man was sentenced to 100 months in the St. Cloud prison for first-degree criminal sexual conduct in a 2021 assault in Beltrami County.

According to the criminal complaint, 42-year-old Jonathon Isaacson brought his daughter and her friend on an ice fishing trip on Upper Red Lake in Jan. 2021.

The victim, the daughter’s friend, said the three of them were drinking in Isaacson’s ice house, and at some point in the night around Jan. 7, Isaacson began touching her under her clothes.

The victim said the assault lasted approximately two minutes.

The victim told her friend, Isaacson’s daughter, who then reported the incident to authorities.

Isaacson was convicted of criminal sexual conduct in the first degree for penetrating a victim between the ages of 13 and 15 as a person of authority.

He received credit for seven days served in local custody.
