Bemidji’s Ward 3 Council member Ron Johnson was recently elected to be the second vice president of the League of Minnesota Cities Board of Directors.
The LMC met virtually for its annual business meeting on June 25 and held the election. Johnson will serve in this capacity for the 2020-2021 term.
“The League is fortunate to have 833 member cities, and our mission is to be relevant to every one of them,” said Executive Director David Unmacht.
“Passionate board leadership from across the state – and the perspectives these directors bring to the table – help make that possible.”
According to the release, the League of Minnesota Cities is a membership organization dedicated to helping cities throughout Minnesota build quality communities through effective advocacy, expert analysis, trusted guidance, and collective action.
