County road work begins Tuesday

County road projects will start impacting drivers starting Monday.

According to a release from the Beltrami County Highway Department, road construction will begin Monday on Irvine Avenue (CSAH 15) from Lumberjack Road to the Red Lake Indian Reservation Boundary.

The road will be open to traffic but drivers can expect some delays.

Work on Irvine will include bituminous reclamation and resurfacing and work on aggregate shoulders.

Traffic control is scheduled to go up on Sumac and Hazelwood Roads (CSAH 57) beginning Tuesday.

Construction includes grading and aggregate surfacing, and is planned to last into November.

As always, drivers are urged to use caution when traveling in and around work zones.
